Four leaves cake Smile Jul 22, 2013
Categories : Bakery

Well, I am helping my friend to celebrate her 20th birthday and I bought her a small cake and another for me (because the big ones are too big for the both of us)! Well, I had chosen four leaves, mainly because many had recommended this brand to me! Usually, I will choose their strawberry shortcake which is tested and proven nice, but my friend is not a fan of berries. So I chose a chocolate cake for her instead! It costs $3.50 each, packed in a very nice box and with a spoon in it! smile I love the thick dark chocolate taste and the softness of the cake! Not creamy and not too sweet! Each slice was design with a berry and some chocolate, simple yet elegant! smile

Jollibean Smile Jul 22, 2013
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

Jollibean peanut pancake and a cup of soya bean cause $2.80. It is slightly higher their competitor but i think is worth the price. The size of the pancake is bigger and the soya bean drink taste nicer too, very thick soya smell and not very sweet which will be a more preferred choice within elderly. The peanut pancake costs $1.20 itself but I find the texture too thick and there is a very strong beany taste that cover the peanut taste! However, I still acceptable to my taste buds!

Overly sweet  Cry Jul 18, 2013

Categories : Taiwanese | Chinese Desserts | Bubble Tea/ Tea

I tried Blackball again, this time i choose to mix my own flavour: glass jelly base with nata de coco and yam. $5.50 each. It tastes a bit weird, the strong glass jelly taste didn't go well with yam or the nata de coco, in fact glass jelly overwhelmed the taste of yam and nata de coco. All I tasted was the grass jelly and more grass jelly of different textures!

They gave me a small cup of milk to add into my bowl. I kind of regret adding the milk, as it became too sweet and cloying. I can't stand the sweetness at all! In the end, I left the shop with more than half the bowl full. sad

Laskania  OK Jul 18, 2013
Categories : Malaysian | Halal | Noodles

This is my first try at Laksania. It was quite a long wait, i took around 30 minutes before i can get my seats. So do avoid going on weekdays or weekend dinner.

First, the Laksa; i really like the strong and thick soup of it, the spiciness level was acceptable; not too spicy for an adult. The noodles was springy and the tao pok was very juicy. The whole dish was served hot accept the hard boiled egg, which I think it will prefer it be hot. Then it will be a perfect dish of laksa! smile

Next is the Strawberry Tea, it is my very first time trying out this new drink. Well, it tasted like those tea you could easily find it on Thailand street, it is slightly sour and creamy. I find it weird but you guys might enjoy it as I am not a strawberry lover.

Durian bread OK Jul 18, 2013
Categories : Bakery | Halal

I had tried this very special favor of durian bread at Swee Heng! I had never imagine how durian fillings can be so nice when it goes with bread, usually what we had outside are durian puffs. This durian bread is kind of special in the market but i think not a lot of people are willing to try, i buy it out of my curiosity.
It is really nice with the thick durian fillings in it however, you will a sick or rather heaty after eating awhile. I think this is the reason why durian puff is better than durian bread.
However, the aroma of durian bread is really strong you can smell it a distance. if you disliked durian, you wont want to go near it at all. i liked the softness of the bread too! Is nice!
Each bread costs $1.60!
