Fish Bee Hoon Smile Oct 13, 2011

My mum-in-law always goes for the fresh fish bee hoon whenever she comes to a food court. Previously, I shared a Dual Fish Combo Steamboat with her when we were here.

Today, she ordered this Fresh Fish Bee Hoon. The soup was a little bland, not as tasty as the one at IMM Kopitiam. Not much of MSG too. The fish slices were fresh. Price at $3.50. Good value for a food court. Great choice if you are looking for something healthy and light. It would be healthier if you ask them not to add the evapourated milk.

Roast Chicken Noodle Smile Oct 13, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Food Court | Chicken Rice | Roasted Meat

Today, I went to West Mall for lunch with my Mum-in-law. It was not yet noon, so the place wasn't packed. I ordered a bowl of Roast Chicken Noodle from this particular stall. It was $3.50 per plate, cheaper as compared to Kopitiam. The noodle was neither Q not soggy. Not too bad. The chicken breast was not dry, pretty tender. The best was the soup. It has carrot, radish and cabbage, tasty but not due to too much MSG.

The stall sells rice with roast/white chicken, roast duck, char siew, roast meat or chicken cutlet. A great variety. smile

Premium Popcorn Smile Oct 06, 2011

I was ignorant to the existence of such a premium popcorn until a friend introduced it to me. Then was the first time I heard of Garrett Popcorn. Today, I passed by one of the branches of Garrett Popcorn at Wisma. They only have two types of popcorn, the savoury Cheese and the sweet Caramel Crisp (plain or with nuts). One could mix the two together, called the Chicago Mix. The smallest bag cost $7 for Cheese and $8 for both Caramel Crisp or Chicago Mix. The most expansive was a 6.5 gallon tin, $220. Wow! Wonder who would buy?

I like the Caramel Crisp but my daughter like the Cheese, so I ended up buying the Chicago Mix. The smallest bag. $8 was a little expansive.

The Cheeze was very salty and the Caramal's very sweet, when mixed together, they compromised each other. smile

Indonesian Smile Sep 20, 2011

The place was bright and clean. You picked your choices of food at the counter and they would serve them to your seat. Most of the dishes were spicy. My hubby ordered the curry chicken, sambal eggs, deep fried flat fish and a vegetable dish, most likely kang kong. My favourite was the sambal egg. The rice and the lime juice, if you ordered it, were free flow. My hubby liked the fried flat fish which I found to be quite hard. The curry was not spicy, even my kids could take it. I didn't managed to take any photos, maybe next time if I go I will snap some. mad

Not a bad choice if you feel like having some Indonesian food.

I once signed up a 1-year membership of this restuarant. But I realised that it was not so worth it for me as my family didn't really eat here. This evening we decided to dine here. We ordered salad, chicken drumlets, spaghetti, pizza and a big float.

I ordered this wrapped up Aglio Olio spaghetti. It was served in a unique way, wrapped up in paper. It was very tasty. The portion was just right for me. The little soup trapped within the paper was very sweet.

After the dinner, we had complementary cotton candy. Yummy. Like a child again.
