Monday night at Orchard. Finding a cool place and not crowded place for dinner. Decided to head to 313 Somerset Food Republic at 5th level.
The place there is cool and big with high ceiling.
Walk around to see what they have in the food court.
Saw this stall selling Fried Prawn Noodle. Say called it Hokkien Mee. Notice they serve with a bamboo leave. Which make the presentation look nice.
AS there was no Q at around 7pm. They have cook extra mee on the side just in case a large crowd come in. Hmm.... don't know that is a good idea.
What if happen there is no crowd. Will the cook noodle be thrown away or still serve. ??
I ask for extra chilli on the side. the guy happyily gave it to me. I like it with al;ot of chilli.
The mee came to look waterily which I don't really like.
But the prawn they give is fresh and 3 pcs.
Overall : Once awhile will try again.

Had our gathering on the weekend with friends. A good place for gathering for all occasion, young or old ...
We will seated quickly as we had make reservation earlier. The place fill up very fast as it was the weekend.
We order ; 1. Ton Toro Ramen
2. Tom Yum Ramen
3. Baby Octopus
4. Fried Toufu
5. Iced Lemon Tea
6. Iced Green Tea
The food came fast. abt 10 to 15min compare to other japanese restaurant.
Both the ramen they cook does not make the ramen soft or sticky.
The soup base for the ramen, abit blank. You really can taste the saltyness.
Like the baby octopus.
Fired toufu. just 2 pcs. Not so filling.
The last is our drink. Normal. Nothing special.
Overall. Good place for gathering, but change environment if my friend decide to go ajisen again.

A Sinfull Lunch
This place at lucky plaza basement sell Kway Chap, Bak Kut Tea, Pig Organ Soup and Other Pork Items.
Lunch at Orchard usually is crowded. And this place as can say has limited seat. If you come at lunch time, you will need to wait for seat.
So decided to packet my lunch from this stall as the Q is not very long.
I order the Pig Organ Soup with Yam rice.
They also have it in white rice.
Back to office to start my lunch ...
Once I open the cover for the soup, you can smell the pepper smell.
Tot itz going to be hot but once taste it. It not.
Next the pig organ. Wah.. they give so much of the pig organ meat.
The pig organ does not have that smelly pig smell. Mean they have wash the pig organ careful and clean.
Soup has too much MSG. Hope they can reduce the msg.
Overall : Still good to eat but not too often.

My fren bring me to Yoshinoya .. at Ngee Ann City.
They are located at B2 ....
I order the chicken set and my fren order the beef set.
Guess is some kind of fast food outlet ... japanese style .....
The chicken set. Meat is tender and the sauce is sweet. Rice .. like japanese style.
The beef that my fren eat .. I notice the beef they cut is too small... and thin ..
Don't really like but i guess is fast food.
Overall : for lunch or dinner with light meal.. you can try this .. Cheer ..

Hi All. Those who like a simple gathering with frensor family members, try this. And those who perfer a light Tom Yam Soup base for the steamboat, try this.
$39.90 for these portion of food serve. Good ? 3-4 person can enjoy the steamboat and BBQ.
Note: The drink stall is seperate stall. Do ask for the bill of the drink and check. They may charge u drinks that u nv order.
Overall is a good feel of hw northern thai steamboat is like. So go ahead and try and write ur review.
