Honest, no frills Good Food Smile Mar 20, 2016

Categories : Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

We got the massive 1.2kg slab of meat and we were worried that it would E either undercooked (too thick) or overdone (too thick).

But they handled it well and the result is crispy seared exterior with rather tender interior. You can even see the pink! The flavour of the meat is actually enough to not need the pepper sauce on the side.

Speaking of sides, I really enjoyed the coleslaw and crunchy potato salad. Their Mac & Cheese is no bad too.

Overall an excellent place to get your beef steak fix without frills. Good too because you don't pay for the extras here.

👍🏼👍🏼

French eat frogs!? OK Oct 17, 2015
Categories : French | Coffeeshop

Their French Pizza is on a frozen dough but their toppings does make up for the overall taste. You can taste the bacon and the onions and the cheese.

We also had the Fried Frog Legs which turned out to be pretty good. I have never had frog legs done in angmoh style and they do theirs well.

Can order again if we are back.

Udon Kake Smile Sep 10, 2015

Categories : Japanese | Noodles

I followed the good advice of ordering the basic Kake Udon and added the eggplant, jap egg and fish cake tempura.

I love how they allow you to customize your bowl of udon and can just add as much of the tempura bits and seaweed as you like!

Together with the tasty broth and QQ udon, it is really a very fulfilling meal!

Will definitely return!

👍🏼 Power Soup Smile Sep 08, 2015

I grew up in Ghim Moh and I used to eat at this EVERY morning if I can help it. So much so that the auntie and uncle boss would remember my face and order.

Fast forward 20 years and 30 kg later, since then I have moved out of Ghim Moh and gotten married with kids, I am in the area and thought to try to find my favorite prawn mee stall. Lo and behold, the stall remains unchanged and even the uncle and auntie didn't seem to age much. What's more amazing is that they remember me and MY FAVORITE prawn mee order!!!

Their prawn mee with chili hits home from the first taste! Same goodness. Their broth is really really good. I feel that their chilli may not be the best I've tasted but their soup makes up for it.

I feel a little selfish as I am not sure if sharing one of my fav stalls will convert more fans and soon a long queue will ensue. But my parents teach me that good things must share. So come and enjoy a piping hot bowl of goodness and think of me! ✌🏼️😉

With extra vege pls! Smile Sep 05, 2015

What I like:
1) they fry per order at a time when you order

2) the finished product is a piping hot plate of moist noodles that very flavorful, love the little bits of lard

3) option to add more green vege to your not-so-healthy CKT

4) the sprinkling of crispy silver fish as final garnish

What I don't quite like:
1) shop only give ONE chopsticks and ONE spoon per plate, I wonder who had ripped them off so badly that they are so guarded about their disposables

2) lady boss would very calculative-ly count the number silver fishes she sprinkles on my plate, I mean seriously, silver fish so small also count like dat?!? *shake head*

Would I return? I'm a sucker to good food so yah... Heh
