The good thing about Ramen Champion is that there is ramen galore to choose from, the bad thing about it is that there is too many choices. I know, I have first world problems.

As I have no idea who to order my ramen from, I tried to order one from each stall to taste and see. It helped that I have my family along to con them into eating ramen from the different stalls.

King Ramen from Butaou - hubby ate this and he liked it enough. The rich soup is tasty and full bodied. I tried it and it was nice...just nor sure if it's my best tasting.

Spicy Ramen from Tonkotsu Itto - I like spicy anything so this ramen already win a few more point by being spicy. The soup is rich and tasty too.

Ramen from Tonkotsu Itto - daughter ate this and she really liked it. I tasted and can understand why. Same rich and tasty soup goodness here.

Garlicky Spicy Ramen from Miyamoto - after tasting all the ramens ordered, I decided I liked this the most as I like garlic, and spice and the generous dose of bean sprouts they throw inside with the ramen. I realised that I needed the bean sprouts to compliment the taste of the ramen, so that it won't be too ger-lat too soon.
Nice place to grab a pre-movie meal, easy and fuss-free and tasty. You probably need to come with a group and order 1 ramen from each stall to eat at the same time to figure out what is your favourite ramen!! Good luck!

High Class Street Food Smile May 29, 2014

Here with colleagues and I ordered:
1) Fried Rice with Fried Chicken Drumstick - the rice is flavourful and a good portion too. The drumstick was nicely deep-fried and can taste the spice that coats the skin. Very yummy indeed.

2) Longan Milk Honey - interesting blend of flavours.

Colleagues also recommends the following:
- Chicken with Horfun
- Assam Laksa, not really sour but spicy
- Fried Horfun
Service is prompt and attentive. One con is the powerful aircon makes the food gets cold really fast! Eat fast!!
It's high class street food but my rice and drinks are nice!

Awesome!! Smile May 27, 2014

Even before ordering, I was informed that the wait would be 20 mins. Darn...
So I ordered the $5 portion to make my wait worthwhile. Not realizing that the $5 bowl comes with abalone slices. I should have just asked for more noodles and normal ingredients (note to self).
The wait wasn't really 20mins so that's good. Let's get down to talking about the noodles...
Chilli sauce - very good! I dunno how to describe the goodness but it's good! The Chilli and vinegar combi rocks!
Ingredients - it's enough for the portion of noodles. Liver is not overcooked and the other pork slices are also tender. They also have these bits of grilled cuttlefish that really enhances the taste. Another taste enhancer was the bits of pork lard! Generous crispy bits tossed in that makes every mouthful a delight! Yumz!!!
Soup - one of the ways to steal my heart is a savory soup base and yes, theirs is really good too! So good that I went back for seconds.
Would I return? Oh Yah!!!

Recommended Dish(es):  With Abalone Strips!

Was in the area and decided to pop in for a after-dinner thingie...
What struck me first was how beautifully put together (no pun intended) the cafe was designed and decorated. It is evident that the owners put a lot of themselves into this cafe! The theme of the cafe is simple and every small detail is aligned with the whole feel of the cafe. I can't explain well, you need to come and experience it for yourself. I was so moved by the cafe that I was inspired to (one day...far far later) own a cafe of my own and to have my own feel translated into the cafe.
Now to tell you a little more about the food. The desserts are actually quite good. Not sure if they make them on-site but it's good nevertheless. The drinks are no bad as well. All in all, a great place to just come and hang and talk and chill!

Can top up with hot water!

Categories : Italian | Restaurant

Came for lunch with friends and ordered:
Calamari - still the same, crispy but can do with more seasoning.
Portobello - this is a starter I shared with friends. Plump mushroom grilled to perfection. Delicious!!!
Squid Ink Pasta - not to be consumed on first dates!!! But since Im only out with friends, eat away!!!! Pretty tasty and ingredients were also fresh. Just wish there were more really...
An enjoyable meal nevertheless as they do make very decent pastas.
