2) Calamares - who will deny deep-fried calamari? Theirs were nice and cripsy without the sotong being tough. Good job.
3) Seafood Curry - this dish is interesting. The curry gravy is not your lemak one that we all know. It's actually rather peanut-y. If you have the gravy mixed with this prawn paste, it's honestly really wicked.
4) Daing na Bangus - deep fried milk fish that is boneless. If you don't already know, milk fish is actually full of tiny bones but the flesh is sweet. Thus, this boneless version is ideal as you enjoy the flesh without working for it.
5) Katipuneros - essentially our local stewed pork and chicken in soy sauce. To me, it's ok only, nothing to remember about.
6) Chopsuey - known as chap chay locally, also nothing to rave about
7) Pork Sisig - this is not local definitely... pork ears chopped into mini bits and fried with other vege. I braved tried a mouthful and decided I do not like the texture of pig's ears. 'Nuff said.
8) Sinigang na Hipon - its a sour soup with seafood. Something like Tom yam without the spice, just the sour. It's not bad but I'll take my Tom yam Yumz anyway!!
9) Palitaw - this dessert is glutinous rice topped with shredded cheese. Interesting taste which my hubby liked but not me. It's a sweet and savory mix that didn't click with me.
10) Boni Halo-Halo - think ice kecang with condensed milk custurd, red beans, yam paste and Nata de coco. Topped with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. What's not to love! My fav dish easily!! Thank goodness for good friends to introduce us to Filipino cuisine so we don't have to figure out blindly on our own.
Bill came up to be $45 per pax which we felt it's a little too expensive for the food we had. Not likely to return unless it's a treat!
