Categories : Taiwanese

Today was a tiring day at so i decided not to cook but to buy dinner at Shihlin Taiwan street snack at hougang mall outlet. This stall have alot variety of Taiwanese food. The Q was long for their signature chicken cutlet at abt 7pm so i decided to try their oyster "mee sua" which i just need to order from the side of the stall and was serve shortly. Their mee sua was just tasted OK, nothing fantastic and the oyster was quit raw and small. With all these mention, this oyster "mee sua" cost abt $3.80 which I think was too expensive..

yong tau foo Smile Oct 06, 2011

Went during lunch time and this yong tau foo caught my eyes, its easy to find this stall at the food court because the stall was easy to look out. The stall had alot of varieties & i have seen before that some popular items run out & it will be replenished by the staff. The sweet sauce was tasty which are not too sweet and their soup dont taste like they added MSG, Its totally unlike the usual MSG soup from other yong tau foo stalls which after drinking their soup will make ur throat dry. Its simply cheap & good, consider a must try for young tau foo lover!

laksa Smile Oct 05, 2011

Although its signature dish is the trishaw laksa, they are also selling mee siam & mee rubus. All the pictures look so tempting displayed on the stall and i finally make up my mind and order mee siam. The mee siam was served with nicely sliced egg with generous toppings of tiny dried shrimps. I absolutely love the gravy as its tasted sour enough for me & does not have the strong coconut taste which I find repulsive in most mee siam. More importantly, there is no trace of oil and hence makes it perfect healthy food! e lunch crowd madness at hong lim food center was definitely irritates some of the people, the best is to packet your lunch insted of hunting for seats.

Pastamania Smile Oct 04, 2011

PastaMania is definitely one of my dining places I would go to if I have pasta cravings but I'm not willing to spend too much to get my pasta meal . Pasta Mania fits the bill, especially if you're dining alone or you are in a hurry, they serve their food fast and good.I like the al fungi pasta, and I must say that the aglio olio isn't too bad either. Best thing also is that they serve tabasco sauce with their pastas. I'm a tabasco sauce lover And tabasco goes extremely well with cream pastas! For sure,i will recommend this pastamania outlet to my friend!
