Yummy Japanese Food Smile Jul 09, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

As usual, the queue at this place is very long during meal time. Nevertheless, it is worth queuing as the food is delicious. Ordered the unagi don with scambled eggs ($11.90) which I think is kinda value for money as the portion is quite huge. Really full after eating it! Hence, you wanna try a variety of food, do share this with someone. As usual the grilled salmon sushi is on promotion - $0.40 per piece and limited to 2 per pax. Though it tastes as good as before, I feel that the size of the sushi seems to have became smaller.

Hokkien Mee Smile Jun 27, 2012

One of the best hokkien mee which I have tried. It consists of a bit of gravy and the chef is very generous with the ingredients though the price is slightly higher than what you can find in most hawker centre and coffee shops. The smallest plate which I have ordered is $5. There are also medium and large servings which cost $8 and $15 respectively. I believe that it is due to the fact that lard is used and hence, it is so tasty. A sinful dish!

Also ordered the stir fried sambal sweet potato leaves which tastes quite up to standard too. The smallest serving cost $8.

Dim Sum Lunch Smile Jun 25, 2012

I realised that this place is kinda popular for gathering with older folks (just like restaurants such as Red Star) and is kinda packed during weekend lunch time. Tried the dim sums and I think that the dim sums generally taste quite good. Personally, I love the Har Gow and fried shrimp dumpling. The prawns in the Har Gow taste so sweet and fresh. The shirmp dumpling is so crispy. Yumz! Also ordered the spinach with century egg and salted eggs which I also love it. However, I feel that this place is not as accessible and hence, not very popular with youngsters.

Value for Money sushi OK Jun 25, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Heard from my friend that this restuarant serves sushi which is value for money and hence, decided to give it a try. Indeed, every plate of sushi or sashimi which is placed on the belt is only $1.50! Cheaper than most, if not all, of the Japanese restaurant! In terms of taste of food, I think that it is only average. Besides the salmon sushi and salmon sashimi, the rest of the sushi do not taste as good. There is also not much variety. Nevertheless, I still think that it is worth trying given the reasonable pricing. No wonder the queue is always so long!

Tom Yam Bee Hoon Smile Jun 25, 2012
Categories : Thai | Seafood

This is the first time I visit this restaurant and I think that I will definitely come again to try the rest of the dishes as the food and service are generally quite good. I ordered the tom yam bee hoon which is red based (as shown in picture). It is kinda flavourful and there are lot of ingredients. The serving of the bee hoon is also quite big and hence, if you are a small eater, you may want to share it with someone. However, I will not recommend to those who cannot take hot stuff as I think that tom yam soup which is served at this restaurant is relatively more spicy than those which I have tried in other Thai restuarants. tongue
