Roast Chicken Sandwich Cry Oct 24, 2011
Categories : Café | Seafood

During my internship recently, my colleagues and I went to NUS for lunch.
We usually would go to the canteen for lunch but on one occasion, we gave the Megabites Cafe a try as it was rather empty due to the school holidays.

Not wanting a heavy meal, I got myself the Roast Chicken Sandwich.
Although the filling in the sandwich was quite generous, I didn't quite like the sandwich as it was rather bland.
It definitely could do with more sauces or perhaps marinating the chicken better.

Not something I would try again!

For lunch today, I didn't feel like having a heavy meal so I went to the Campus Deli to get myself a sandwich.
They have a wide variety of sandwiches such as egg mayo, tuna, black pepper chicken, etc but I chose the Spicy Potato Chicken Melts Sandwich.

It came with a generous amount of filling and melted cheese which made the sandwich really really good!

At $3, it isn't very cheap and would be considered to be more of a snack or a light meal.
However if you're rushing for time, do try the sandwich from the Campus Deli! smile

Chocolate Devotion :D Smile Oct 24, 2011

Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

I went to Cold Stone Creamery last Saturday as I had won Cold Stone Creamery vouchers from Openrice itself!
Having heard great reviews about it, I was stuck between which flavour to choose as there were way too many mouth-watering ones!

After contemplating for too long, I finally decided on the Chocolate Devotion.
It was interesting to watch the staff make the ice cream and how they tossed it in the air and caught it in the cup.
That definitely impressed me!
When I got the cup of ice cream, my mouth had already begun to water.
It looked so chocolatey and heavenly!
Afterall, Chocolate Devotion is a combination of chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, fudge and brownie!!

The first spoon of it blew me away!
It was gooey, thick and rich with chocolate!

However, I just wish that it had been mixed more thoroughly as there was only one portion of the ice cream where all the brownie bits were and the rest of the ice cream was devoid of the brownie bits.

That being said, I'll definitely still be going back to Cold Stone Creamery though as it's one of my favourite dessert shops now!
Can't wait to try their other flavours such as Founder's Favourite and Oreo Overload!

p.s. I couldn't take a decent picture of the ice cream cause it was THAT good that I ended up devouring it and only realised at the very end tongue

Sardine Curry Puff Cry Oct 24, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Halal

Having heard great reviews about the curry puffs, I decided to try out the Sardine Curry Puff.

However, I was definitely disappointed with it.
Although the puff was crusty and good, the sardine filling was strangely sweet, making it a bad combination.

Definitely will not be trying the sardine curry puff again!

McSpicy!  Smile Oct 23, 2011

For lunch last Tuesday, my classmate and I went to have Mcdonald's for lunch during our long break.
I ordered the McSpicy meal and upsized it.

However, I failed to realise that upsize would be too much for me!
I ended up only being able to eat half the fries, half the burger and struggled to finish the milo and ended up bringing the rest home to eat.
Anyway, the fries were a little too salty and some of them were either too soggy or hard.
The McSpicy however was really delicious.
The lettuce with mayo complements the chicken well.
The chicken served is thick and juicy, very tender and crispy.
The milo served in Mcdonalds is as always very delicious.
Mcdonalds probably serves the best milo as I haven't tried anywhere else that beats it.

Mcspicy is definitely one of the better burger choices in McDonald's and one of my top 3 favourites! smile
