If you cannot do without a chicken feet when you eat wanton noodles, this you cannot miss. Just take a look at that claw, the chicken feet is succulent and soft, the juice and sauce on the feet tastes good even by itself. The mushrooms were quite big but lacked flavour, but still juicy.

Dumpling Noodle Smile Mar 22, 2012

My favourite noodle stall at Chinatown! Tried to have a non chilli paste noodle this time and swapped it with green chilli instead. Actually, for the dumpling noodle, green chilli taste much better than the chilli paste as the sour and hot mixture connects with the dumpling’s tenderness. You get to crunch on the chilli ( as they are fresh ) as well as the waterchesnuts in the dumpling! Yummy!

Beach Road Scissor-Cut Curry Rice Smile Jan 18, 2012

Yum Yum Yum! This stall serves the best curry rice ever! If you are a fan of some rather thick and sticky curry sauce (which is not that spicy really), this is a stall you should try on! I love their curry cabbage the best, really nice to chew and freshly cooked. The queue is always there during peak hours, at times I had to queue 20 minutes!

The Manhattan Fish Market  Smile Dec 14, 2011

Now, this is what I call an excellent calamari even though a bigger, juicier one could be better. You can see that the calamari is not overcooked, or else it would have shrunk. The skin is fried well, very crispy. The calamari tastes fresh and has that “poing poing” feeling when you bite into it. Yummy!

WA! This carrot cake ah, really the best one out there. Where can you find such crispy carrot cake?!? The auntie fries the carrot cake till it’s so crispy on the tip, it reminds me a little of eating roti prata. Yet again, good food always must wait and wait. Took me about 20 minutes before I got my carrot cake madmad
