Chocolate Madness  Cry Aug 23, 2013

A dear colleague of mine bought me a Double Chocolate Muffin from this bakery. After reading the reviews here in OpenRice, I was optimistic that the Muffin would be one of the best that i would have.

But sadly no. For an affordable price of only $2.80, the double chocolate muffin comes in the size of my fist and heavily loaded with chocolate chips. And with all that dark chocolate chips, I don't really get that sweet chocolaty flavour from it. or maybe its just me. Should have opted for the Banana Apple Muffin that my colleague got. Heard its one of the popular flavors.

Eh why not full? Cry Jul 31, 2013

KFC is very empty in the morning which is good. Less waiting time for me to get my food. Service is really fast.
BUT!... There's always a but..

The Original Twister Wrap that i got for myself for only $3.90 was just sad. The wrap consist of egg, diced tomatoes, chicken and mayo, and it was just 1/2 full and it wasnt warm. Its no fun eating just the wrap. Tasteless. Maybe next time i should try the blueberry waffles?

Lack of Cry Jul 30, 2013

During the Fasting month and at 5.45 - 6.30pm and you wish to get anything from Qi Ji.. dont.. its tooo crowded. There's a lot of people que-ing up for take-aways. So maybe best to come back later after 7.20pm! All i only wanted was to satisfy my Chee Cheong Fun craving that all and I queued for a good 30 mins... or maybe less..

Wasted my precious 30 mins.. It was too soggy and was lacking of the thick soy sauce. So most of it was plain and with the sambal which was just alright. Couldnt recall how much i paid for but it was not more than $2.50 for it.

Maybe they were busy with the overwhelming crowds so food wasnt that great? I dont know..

Something sweet my mouths tell me! I need something sweet!! So Auntie Anne's pretzel was nearby plus its filling for the stomach so yes! Getting the Cinnamon Pretzel!

So the service was just average.. No smile no thank you what so ever... The pretzel took less than 5 mins to be prepared and it wasn't that warm which is sad. It could have tasted better. The Pretzel was a bit rough and hard to chew.

Should have gotten something elsesad

Halal Hong Kong. Cry Jun 11, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Halal

Here in E Hub, there's several Halal restaurant and Streats Hong Kong Cafe is one of them. This cafe serves both Hong Kong and Chinese cuisines in a casual style. The open-concept restaurant's cozy ambience is a decent place for a get-together for friends and families. Oh yes, they unfortunately, well for me, do not have any baby chairs.

I was given with more than a 100 food items to choose from menu! From baked rice to noodles to Western delights to tea time item like the French toast and dim sums. I eventually settled for Wanton Noodles with Soup and for dessert, I had the French Toast with Honey and Butter.

The Wanton Noodle was served within the next 10 minutes after ordering. It's just you mian noodles with 2 stalks of Kai Lan and 4 chicken dumplings. The dish served hot, was not exciting. Personally I think its just bland. Like really bland. Not a dish I would recommend to anyone. I wished they had chopped the Kai Lan into half. I had a hard time getting it into my mouth. The chicken dumplings was just okay. It's the only thing in that dish has flavors. At least my 3 year old niece enjoyed it.

Then comes the French Toast. The toast was swimming in honey and lo and behold a very pathetic thin square shaped slice of butter floating on the top of the toast. Well at least it was not going to be bland and plain! The golden brown bread was soft. I was hoping they could be more crispy on the outer layer but it wasnt.

I would not make another trip here anytime soon. Spent close to $15 for a dinner meal that just leave my mouth with a bad taste. Not worth it for me really.
