A yummy set lunch..oishii Smile Mar 21, 2011

Our initial intention was to have our lunch at ichiban boshi. However, i was attracted by the offer at Kabe no Ana. WIth $8.90 spaghetti as main, we could choose a side at extra $3, a drink at extra $2 or ice cream at extra $2.

I ordered Ojisan Idol (assorted seafood, radish sprouts and seaweed tossed with garlic butter sauce) with Tori Karaage (fried chicken) while my bf chose Mentaiko Carbonara (bacon and poached egg in spicy cod roe carbonara sauce) with fried potato with mentai.
The service was also very attentive as she offered plain water when she realized we had yet to be served with.

Overall, I was really glad that we had our lunch here and it definitely deserved a thumbs-up for its oishii set lunches~ lol

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Due to the increase in the numbers and variety of bubble tea shops popping up around the island, it has been awhile since I last buy from Sweet Talk. I decided to pop by and buy a Honey Snow Shake. However, it looked and tasted more like ice blend. Luckily I waited awhile before I drank or else I would be slurping ice shavings.sad

I have always like to drink tea as it is a more refreshing and cooling drink especially during the hot season. Thus, teadot is one of my favourite outlet to hang out and chill with friends over a glass of icy tea frappe.

This time round, I decided to try Little Red Fuji which is a mixture of Fuji apple with black tea under the 'tea frappe' section. The taste of Fuji apples made the drink so refreshing and it smoothed out my Monday blues!

New product from Mr Bean OK Mar 18, 2011
Categories : Singaporean

I love mango so I decided to give this new mango drink from Mr Bean a try. Plus it was also offered at a promotional price so there was no harm trying.

it was rather disappointing as perhaps the auntie didn't really blend in the mango puree with the soya milk thoroughly. The ice was also very chunky and one whole pile was left at the bottom of the cup. I just hope that the problem was this outlet and not the product itself as I'm a supporter of Mr Bean! smile

Western food for the heartlanders Smile Mar 18, 2011

Categories : Coffeeshop | Pasta | Steaks and Grills

Not knowing what to have for dinner on Sunday, I decided to go for the safest choice - western food. I decided to try grilled fish Italian herb and chose broccoli and chicken shepherd's pie as my sides.

The fish wasn't too bad, even though the skin was a bit burnt. The sauce went well with the fish too and the cheesy broccoli was very nice. The only disappointed part was the chicken shepherd's pie as I ate only mouthful of potato and no chicken meat was to be found.
