Mixed Beef Stew

Mixed Beef Stew

After a positive experience at the restaurant, i came back again with my boyfriend to try out the beef stew again.

We order a Mixed Beef Stew and had two bowls of rice to go with it. The beef stew is rich and aromatic while the beef was deliciously simmer and stewed to ensure all the flavor went it. My boyfriend and i enjoyed the meal very much and we have vowed to come back!

Durian cake! Smile May 30, 2011

Durian Cake

Durian Cake

There was no occasion but my mum just had a sudden craving for durian. She went ahead and bought a whole durian cake from prima deli!

She got the 50% durian one (you can get the one for 70% durian as well) at about 50 bucks or so (if i am not wrong).

Anyway, i loved how the sponge cake was soft and moist! There were also thick chunks of durian flesh within the cake! The creame on the side of the cake was sweet, which i liked, as compared to plain creame that makes on feel queasy after eating too much.

It was a tiring day at school. After shopping, we decided to drop by the Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao at Holland Avenue!

I ordered the spicy beef noodles, which came in a tasty, savory chilli broth with sliced beef and noodles! I ordered the 'dao xiao mian' which means hand cut noodles, where the chef slices of the noodles by hand, thus giving it an uneven and thicker texture which i love!

The soup was really tasty, and had just the right about of spiciness. Overall, a great meal! smile

My boyfriend's brother recommended this place for its delicious, good quality ramen thus we decided to drop by the outlet!

There was a long queue forming outside the shop when we reached and we had to wait for almost half an hour to be seated!

Service was not bad, considering that it was super full housed, we still managed to get the attention we needed.

All 4 of us ordered the akamaru ramen, which my boyfriend's brother says is a must try at Ippudo.

It turned out great! The broth was deliciously tasty, and the pork was cooked in the way that the fats were caramelized and melts in your mouth! We also ordered the gyoza which was pretty alright.

Overall, it was worth the wait! Prices were affordable too. Loved the decor or the place as well!

Alishan Taiwan Beef Stew Smile May 30, 2011

The Alishan Taiwan Beef Stew / Tendon Noodle stall is one of the famous road side stalls along the upper serangoon stretch, nearby Heartland mall.

My family decided to have dinner here and we ordered the steam fish, shredded melon with egg, sambal sotong and their famous beef stew with rice!

I really loved all the dishes here, especially the beef stew!

The beef stew was rich and flavorful. The beef was tasty and had a lot of flavor, it was already quite tender to my family but i wished it was even more tender.

Overall, a great and affordable place to have dinner!
