The muslim food stall at Nanyang polytechnic's south canteen is one of the best muslim food stall i've tried!

There is always a long queue so be prepared to wait for up to 15mins till your turn.

There is a wide varitey of dishes we can choose from, ranging from seafood to meat, and vegetables.

My favorite dish was the sweet and sour fish! This round i ordered the sweet and sour fish, a fried fish fillet and curry vegetables.

It only cost m $2.80 was i find really affordable!

Went to meet my bf for a long overdued date. As my school was around bishan we decided to meet in bishan for a movie! That aside we went to ajisen for lunch as 'insisted' by my bf.

Personally i used to have a negative & biased opinion of ajisen ramen due to one very horrible meal i had there a long time ago. However, after trying out their ramens, it was better than expected.

I ordered the cha shu ramen and asked for a small dish of chilli to add into my soup! My boyfriend got the paiku ramen (pork ribs ramen). The pork ribs were very tender but waaaaay too salty for me.

The soup base for both of the ramen were very flavourful! However it was a little too salty for me. Perfect for my salt loving bf though. I added chilli into my soup cause i loved a a bit of spice in my food. My bf told me that the noodles here were famous as it is produced by their own chefs (not sure if it's hand made in singapore like din tai fung), but it's texture is springy and chewy just the way i loved my ramen! (Well cooked noodles, what can i say) The charsiew was not special, and pretty tasteless. However, wished that they could have given us more well marinated charsiew!

Surprisingly, the chicken wings were quite nicely fried. I think the chicken wings were pretty juicy and crispy, although it was quite oily!

Overall, an affordable and nice meal. Will be back for the lunch promos!

GUI LING GAO Smile Dec 08, 2010

Gui ling gao, otherwise known as "Turtle Jelly", is traditionally made with the powdered shell from the critically endangered turtle. However, before you squirm and shy away from this dessert, what most people don't know is that most commercially sold gui ling gao does not contain turtle shell powder as well! *phew*, so rest assure when consuming this great dessert as it is not only good for your complexion but is good for your health!

I ordered the herbal jelly at dian xiao er for dessert!
Here at dian xiao er, the honey given in a small little cup. Dian xiao er's herbal jelly has bounce and is delicious! Unlike most stores where the jelly is super bitter, dian xiao er's jelly has the just right amt of bitterness.

The service has was really good, and the staff was very attentive and courteous. I really enjoyed my overall experience at dian xiao er!

Mr Waffle can always be seen crowded, especially during break times. It offers a wide variety of flavors, such as chocolate, cheese, peanut butter, kaya, blueberry and butter! I ordered a half kaya and butter spread.

The waffle here is deliciously crispy on the outside. I love how the batter is fragrant and not too mushy or dry!

This affordable and delicious waffle is definitely a must try when you're at Nanyang Polytechnic next time!

Jumbo Seafood, is a well-known brand name here in Singapore and is renown for its delicious chilli crab and seafood dishes!

As a family outing, we decided to have dinner at Jumbo Seafood East Coast.
Chilli Crab

Chilli Crab

We ordered the famous chilli crab which i loved! The gravy was awesome, and had just the right amount of spice for me. It was a perfect combination when dipped with the crispy golden fried buns. Yum!
Salted Egg Yolk Prawns

Salted Egg Yolk Prawns

We also ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Prawns which was pretty expensive, but also pretty damn good in taste as well! The prawns were fresh (although small) and tasted great with the salted egg combination.

Overall, an awesome meal! Was really satisfied with the food here. Do remember to ask for discount at the counter (& pretend to walk away if they don't) before letting them lead you to your seats! They'll usually give u a 10% off for fear you might end up at their competitor's place.
