It was truly a privilege for me and my son to receive an invite to the ORTU event organized by openrice on the 27th of April 2012. This event was held at Hotel Re! Fill which is located very close to the Outram park mrt station. We were invited to try out the signature dish of the restaurant "The Abalone seafood laksa".

As soon as the event began the chef's came over with our bowls of Laksa and all of us began to indulge in the yummy dish which was really tasty and so delicious. I just couldn't stop eating this yummy dish and the coconut milk flavor still lingers in my mouth.

I then took a little bit of the chilli that came along with it and mamamia...it tasted even more delicious and added more flavor to the laksa. My son too enjoyed the dish very much and kept showing his thumb up.

After we were done with the Laksa, the kind Chef bought us some Mushroom Soup to taste which was accompanied by a pastry. The soup was nice and hot and pastry was nice and crisp.

Then the kind chef bought us some of his special smoked duck salad and we tasted that too and found it very delicous.

After that we got a chance to taste the Lobster which was specially prepared by the Chef. I took a piece of it and put it in my mouth and loved it.

My little fellow would be turning 4 on the 24th of January 2012, so we decided to have a small party for close family. I wanted to pick up a cake for the Birthday so I headed off to Moon River Cake Shop. I looked to their cake menu and then finally asked them if they had a cheese cake (we hadn't bought one for quite a long time) She said she would make one for me. So I quickly ordered a simple Cheese cake.

On the day of the birthday I went and bought the cake I ordered for and it was a nice simple one just the way I wanted it to be. Everyone at the party enjoyed the cheese cake a lot which was nice and tasted just like a creamy ice cream. It was nice, fresh and so soft and the texture was perfect.

After our shopping at Mustafa Shopping Center we headed off to Delhi Restaurant for lunch and to specially try out their special Mix Grilled Sizzler. After we arrived and were comfortably seated we began to look through the menu and select our food. We quickly selected the Mix Grilled Sizzler, Rogan Josh and some Garlic Naan.

Our food arrived in about 10mins time with the Mix Grill nice and sizzling hot. We served our selves and began to enjoy our food and everything was just so delicious and good to eat. We had tried their mix grilled sizzler for the first time and we were not at all disappointed with it since it was really very tasty and so yummy. After our meal we ordered for 3 plates of Mango Kulfee which was just as good and nicely presented.

We enjoyed our Family lunch and headed for home happily smile

Since the kids were on their school vacation and were bored at home, we decided to take them to City Square mall. We headed off at 9.00am and arrived there at 10.15. The kids played in the little play area outside the mall while I sat and did some reading and hubby went to look around the mall. It was 12.00 and then the kids began to get tired and hungry. So hubby decided we would go and eat lunch at Jade of India.

We arrived there in a short while and were greeted by the waiter who showed us our seats. He gave us the menu and we began to select our food. The kids wanted Prawns so we ordered Prawn masala and then we selected Paneer Kadai and Garlic Naan and Mutton Biryani. We had to wait for about 8 minutes before our food was bought to us. The kids quickly began to munch the prawns. We all enjoyed the Mutton Biryani which was accompanied by some gravy and Raita. The Paneer Kadai went very well with the Garlic Naan and we were all satisfied with our lunch.

I had not eaten a good steak in a long time and while chatting with a friend I got to know from her that Outback had some very fine steak and I should go try them out. So the very next day I headed over to Outback Steak house which is located at Millenia walk.

When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and shown my seat and then the waiter came over to me and gave me the menu. I quickly browsed through it and first selected the Soup of the day. While the waiter went to get me the soup, I looked through the menu again to find the steak I had come to eat. I looked and found a variety of them and couldn't make up my mind on which one I should try. So I waited for the waiter and when he arrived with my soup, I asked him which steak I should try and he suggested the Outback special. I said I would love to try it out. He then asked me if I would like some fries along with it and I agreed and started to enjoy my delicious soup with the crunchy bread.

Finally, my steak arrives and my mouth began to water just by looking at the juice oozing out of the steak. I soon began to indulge in the steak and yes it was really very yummy and delicious that I took my own sweet time to chew and eat it up. I was very happy with the choice of steak and recommended it my friends smile
