BBQ Chicken Wing Smile Jul 13, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Hawker Centre

The wings are BBQed to golden brown, crispy on the outside, and maintaining the tenderness of the meat.

Chilli is good too, not too much MSG.

And the bonus is the owners, esp the auntie is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Weekend nights are very crowded, and be prepared to wait for 30 minutes. Usually I love their chilli, it is sweet and nice. It is priced at 1.40 each, same price as in IKEA

Hot Pot - Spicy Smile Jul 13, 2012

Basically, the stall's concept is pretty simple. One just need to pick those ingredients you like from the fridge, the staff will weigh it and charged you accordingly, then the chef will whipped out a dry dish called Fragrant Hot Pot (麻辣香锅) with the ingredients you picked and their MaLa sauce.

The staffs are quite friendly and helpful, I even get to pick how Hot and Spicy I want my dish to be. Being Singaporeans, with Chilli, Curry and Laksa already part and parcel of our daily diet, we straight away went for Super Spicy. But the bowl turned out to be abit expensive, at $14 plus..

Nice Western Food Smile Jul 11, 2012

Auntie was very very nice and we sat down n waited for our food. The place seemed to be quite popular with people who were dining on the seafood and western too. I expected a long wait but the food came in less than 10 minutes. I immediately dug into the fish(white dory) which was so light, crispy, crunchy(thanks to the biscuit) and the portion is quite big for. about the size of my palm. I loved the biscuit batter so much i attacked the fish flesh first before eating the outer part of it. the chicken was good too. Tender chicken thigh with skin too. i carefully peeled off the skin and put it at one side to be devoured later. its really different from the usual breaded chicken cutlet wich can be quite jerlakking at times. I love that it comes with mayonaise cos i prefer it over tartar. Fries were nice too. they use the crinkled fried and fried it to my favourite crispy perfection. bread was alrite. though mayb it would be nice if they toasted it a bit and maybe added chopped garlic. but still i liked it.

Nice Chicken Rice Smile Jul 09, 2012
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant | Chicken Rice

This one is seriously good. I found the rice to be super fragrant and chicken tender. I'm usually a roast chicken fan cos I find the steamed version to be a bit oilier and I'm quite turned off by the sight of rubbery slippery skin. But this one, with the skin removed on request, I really enjoyed!

Side dishes were the kai lan were pretty alright. But the chicken rice was really the star of the night.
