Nice Fried Kway Teow Smile Apr 23, 2012

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

This is indeed one of the best fried kway teow in Singapore. Purposely brought my gf here for this sumptuous food, as she is a glutton. Every gulp is simply mouthwatering. Well-fried with dark soya sauce and sweet sauce, the lovely kway teow is coated with distinguishing fragrance, every mouthful is simply irresistible. You can choose big plate with banana leaf or normal. But I don’t think it makes any really big differences. But i choose big plate cos im a big eater.

Nice Ayam Penyet Ria chilli Smile Apr 23, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Indonesian

Here is a popular and crowded place for ayam penyet. They have good tempeh and gado gado. Remember to get more chilli from the little counter because it is the highlight of the meal. Nice balachan chilli, I gobbled down so much rice because the chilli made it so tasty. The shop is a bit small and the tables are arranged very close together. Not suitable for prams. Generally, the food is served quickly, so it is a good place for quick lunch or dinner.

Great Fish Maw Smile Apr 23, 2012

This Dian Xiao Er at Jurong Point is huge! Just for their main entrance alone, they already used like 1/4 of the whole restaurant and there are still plenty of seats inside, nevertheless their theme is really cool and I love the ambience! We love their Fish Maw Thick Soup with Black Fungus ($30) which basically has the same soup base as shark's fin soup. I've always liked shark's fin soup not because of the fins but because of the thick broth which is oh-so-yummy. And there's nothing not to love about their fish maw soup! The soup was cooked just right to a starchy texture that was not too salty and thick. Enjoyed the soup very much! Must try!

Salty Dish OK Apr 23, 2012

Having friends gathering at jurong point for lunch. There are many choices at the Japanese food street. Decided to settle for yaki yaki Bo - specialized in teppanyaki. We were directed to seats in front of the hot grilled plate. Don’t expect a wide range of choices on the menu... after seeing the menus, I ended up ordered a seafood set. It is too salty to my liking.

Bad Service from Thai-Pan  Apr 23, 2012

I been there before once with my ex-school mate, that time was fantastic I must say but today definitely not. I'm not sure if it's because I went for lunch instead of dinner (the staff told me the chef is the same through). Oh by the way, the staffs were unfriendly and lacked initiative. There were 2 Chinese ladies and didn't even manage a smile, even though they did open doors for us. One didn't bother to serve our requested chili and when my mum went to help herself at the condiments table, she just stood behind watching and didn't even bother to help! Food wasn't that nice as before anymore.
