Crab Feast!! Smile Jun 08, 2013

Is my Boss treat!! lollollollol As with most other Jumbo outlets, reservations are a must!!

Been to both East Coast and Singapore Indoor branches...
Personally prefer East Coast is slightly better quality in the food...madmad

Chilli Crab --> Giant crustaceans with unctous, gooey sauce that's perfectly mopped up with Deep Fried Buns (Deep Fried Buns are practically mandatory to soak up the thick, luscious gravy made chunky by oodles of egg drops and a sprinkling of chopped nuts)...Can be quite spicy, so for non-chilli lovers, beware!!

Believe me, try the East Coast Branches!! More better!!

Sailing for Friendship!! Smile Jun 07, 2013

It might be too late to write a review for The ship restaurant... but as a memory, I will pen down this review.

Grilled Cod Fish Fillet --> topped generously with sauce, and was very yummy!!

Grilled Chicken Chop --> is well grilled, fresh and topped with cheese...!!

Steak (I forget the steak name) --> Asked for medium rare but it turns out to be well done!! The texture of the meat is somewhat average...It is served on a sizzling plate, the black and white mushroom sauce was a bit too salty to my sister liking but it is thick enough to taste the mushroom aroma...The onions are nicely done and the potato was perfectly baked...Ask for sour cream and bacon bits for the potato, it blend in nicely...

ESCARGOT --> NUMERO UNO! Garlic and butter just the right amount, snails freshly done, not too rubbery or squishy but just right; piping hot and served with an aroma that just whets your appetite from across the room...This is a must-try for all Escargot lovers...!!

Oyster --> Is FRESH!! Thumb Up!!

Will go try Nex Branch for our next sailing friendship!!

Recommended Dish(es):  ESCARGOT

Spending per head: Approximately $25(Dinner)

Was surfing net that Chef Daniel had a good review, I bring my loved one to had dinner for his birthday... smile

Reservations is a must even though this place can hold a huge number of patrons...

Food was nicely turned out but nothing really great that stood out...Portions are not big, so you should really have a starter, main and dessert, the food there are pretty affordable...

The grilled chicken was rather good, the portion was enough for me...

The Grilled fillet for the main course was succulent and came lying on a thick bed of sauce, it was pretty good...

The desert was chocolate cake and it was tasty as well...

Quite disappointed that they've closed...

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Dinner)

Crab Feast!! Smile Jun 06, 2013

Is a My Mum birthday, we had Crab Feast!! but then super long queue on a Saturday night, Waiting time 40 mins in the queue with our grumbling tummy, waited another 15 mins for my food...

I came for my third time, the menu still the same does not have prices listed, which is terrible, so prices may be slightly off...

Crab Bee Hoon (in soup): It can taste quite oily to some (due to the butter) but the soup is simply addictive, worth the try!!

Tofu combination: Which was a dozen or so fried tofu squares, some broccoli, two shelled prawns and two scallops...Quite average...

Yam ring: Remarkably ungreasy and the yam well browned and crispy...The stuffing in the ring is crunchy with water chestnut...Generous chunks of chicken and whole prawns fill up the middle nicely...

Butter crab: the fragrance of the butter worked thoroughly into the cracks of the shell & into the meat, while the meat comes right off the shell cleanly, hardly any messy sucking & kissing to get to the meat....

I forget this dish...Its a safe choice for those that need some greenery to counter the massive amount of crabs you'll be consuming...

A visit here is of course always memorable with the poor service standards...The service staff are undeniably busy...

Recommended Dish(es):  CRAB!!

Spending per head: Approximately $65(Dinner)

German Pork Knuckle!! Smile Jun 06, 2013

Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant features world famous quality German beers and authentic Bavarian cuisine in a chic and contemporary setting...

Had visit umpteen times, this was my choice for a friends dinner for a celebratory occasion...

Pork knuckle portion consider huge can share among 2-4pax, the highlight of the dinner definitely goes to pork knuckle...the part that gives you surprises is the skin, which is very crispy yet not salty, awesome...one plus point for this dish, is not oily at all (Ladies love it) making a lot of crunch noises when consuming the skin, the meat is tender and juicy...

The sides we order are Pizza, Wedges, Fries & Potato Salad and what surprisingly it goes perfectly well with wheat Beer/draft Beer and pork knuckle!! Wheee!!

Overall, Brotzeit served wonderful german food, making my visit worth while...
