chocolate rice cream bun Smile Jun 08, 2013

Categories : Bakery

This is my mum's favourite bread, she only likes this type of bread with chocolate rice on top, she says that without those chocolate rice, the bread will taste plain, especially since the cream inside the bread is not much. I quite like it too.
The chocolate rice toppings are quite generously sprinkled and spreaded, as you can see most of the top part are covered with chocolate rice, not bad.
When put in fridge for a day, the bread taste nicer because it becomes a little bit harder and this go well with the cream and chocolate rice.

Wanted to try out KFC's honey biscuit to compare with Popeye's and Texas chicken's, but it is only available in the morning if I am not wrong.
Taste wise, it is very similar to texas chicken's, as both are honey flavoured, unlike Popeye's buttermilk flavoured biscuit.
I kind of like KFC's honey biscuit most out of the three, can taste honey in every bite and some parts of the biscuit have stronger honey taste.
Texture wise, I like it that it is hard on outside and soft in inside.

The burger only cost $2.40.
It tasted familiar, kinda like the shrooms burger without the mushrooms, or should I say it tasted totally same, only without the mushrooms taste, even the patty used seems to be the same.
The egg is very smooth, but too soft for my liking.
The amount of mayonnaise in the burger is little, cannot really taste it throughout the whole burger.

KFC BLUEBERRY PANCAKES Smile Jun 08, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Fast Food | Halal

It cost only $2.95 which includes 2 blueberry pancakes, 1 hashbrown and scrambled egg.

Craving for some pancakes so I decided to try out the quite new blueberry pancakes from KFC. It was my first time trying pancakes, YEAH, FIRST TIME, not even the famous hotcakes from mcdonalds. Kinda not attracted to the plain look of hotcakes/pancakes thus never really feel like trying, until recently, I started craving for pancakes, especially with blueberry bits inside.

Never eaten original pancakes before thus I cannot compared it with the blueberry pancakes.

But the blueberry pancakes are actually quite tasty, the thickness is just right and can taste tinge of blueberry flavour every bite and also quite a lot blueberry bits.

The scrambled egg taste bland, even sprinkling lots of pepper provided on top does not help.

Th hashbrown taste like normal hashbrown.

Never use the butter and maple syrup provided to avoid extra calories intake.

popeyes OK Jun 08, 2013

I am not a fan of popeyes's cajun fries, I like my fries to be on the thinner side, like those of mcdonald's fries, but popeyes's fries are more on the thicker side and is soft and soggy, even the seasonings in the fries cannot help the overall taste of the fries, the texture kinda spoilt the whole thing.
Also, unlike mcdonald's fries, popeye's fries have a coating outside their fries, I prefer it to be without the coating though.

Popeyes buttermilk biscuits are a hit or miss. The biscuits' taste and texture are inconsistent during almost every of my visits.
Sometimes, their biscuit can look golden brown, then sometimes it can look plain yellow.
Sometimes, their biscuit can taste fragrant, then sometimes it can taste bland (especially the inside of the biscuit).
Sometimes, their biscuit can be crunchy, then sometimes it just feel kind of rubbery.
But, I shall say it tasted really fragrant and crunchy during the ‘my-best-popeyes-biscuit-experience’ trip.

The ice cream is like those normal vanilla ice cream with chocolate coating, just that it is mini version and able to put the whole mini ice cream into my mouth.

The mash potato does taste different from KFC's, its sauce is the main difference, it taste a little sweet with a tinge of spice.

Coleslaw wise, nothing special, taste like normal kfc coleslaw.

Ordered coke for my drink, you cant go wrong with a coke.

GREEB BEAN PASTE PASTRY OK Jun 08, 2013
Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre

Passed by this confectionary shop and decided to get myself a box of green bean paste pastry.
There are two flavours available at the same price, $1.90, and they are salty green bean paste pastry and pandan flavoured green bean paste pastry, I chose the pandan flavoured one as the salty version is too mainstream, and anyway, I like pandan flavoured foods.
The pastry tastes nice, the filling really gives off pandan taste every bite, however, the pastry skin is quite thick and tasteless, thus my eating method is to peel off the outer pastry skins and left with a thinner pastry skin.
