Celebrating a friend's birthday and we decided to try out Zen Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant at Midlink Plaza as our friend is a vegetarian.

Unagi Don Set - $14
This is not the real unagi since we are talking about a vegetarian restaurant here. The unagi is actually made of tofu grilled with seaweed and nice sweet teriyaki sauce. I really like this dish and it proves that vegetarian dish can be made so interesting as well!

They offer a wide variety of dishes including salmon sashimi! Of course, all mock meat lah! Wonder how the mock sashimi taste.

Sabio by the Sea @ Quayside Isle Smile Jul 12, 2013

Celebrated hubby's birthday at a Spanish Restaruant - Sabio by the Sea at Quayside Isle this year. A flat gantry admission charge is applicable to each car entering Sentosa. We paid $7 as we went on a weekend. Parking lots are available at Quayside Isle at $3.50 per entry. Look at the nice patterns at the backdrop! The staff told us proudly that they actually nailed the pattern one by one on their own! Even the tables in the restaurant, the design on the top of the tables were also made by their staff. We chose the seats next to these wall-mounted ornaments of the heads of horses and one zebra.

By the way, the staff here were wearing black and white stripes tees. You might want to avoid wearing stripes when coming to this restaurant.
We asked for the staff's recommendation on what to order since it was our first time to this restaurant.

Sabio's Sangria ($10/ glass)
Their signature drink - Sangria. It is an assortment of fruit stewed in a claret base mixed with soda water and sugar. I preferred Sangria (Red) which had a refreshing, sweet fruity taste while hubby had Sangria (White).

Sea Scallops with Sparkling White Wine Sauce ($16)

El Cerdo - Herb Marinated Pig Shoulder served with Sauted Potato ($21)

Paella de Pescado (Shrimps, Sea Bass, Squids, Mussels, Clams) For 2 pax - $25

Both of us were very satisfied with all the dishes that we had ordered. I would like to come back soon to try out other dishes and also to try out the other restaurants such as Museo at Quayside Isle.

** All photos here were taken with my new iPhone 5 smile

I had been to Mandarin Gallery twice for Art Jamming at Artestiq but this was the first time that I came here for food. The occasion this time was to celebrate one of our buddies' belated birthday at Jones the Grocer, which is located at a quiet cosy corner on the 4th level of Mandarin Gallery.

The colour theme for the restaurant was "Blue and White". I ordered a pot of forest-berries tea. Most of their white cups were quite badly stained.

At 3pm on a weekend, the choice of food was rather limited. The breakfast, lunch and ala-carte menu was not available at this timing and we could only choose from the brunch menu and bakeries. The birthday mummy and I both ordered the Jones' Club sandwiches and we were quite happy with the food. The only disappointment was that they ran out of avocado and replaced it with tomato.

West C'oZ @ West Coast Plaza Smile May 29, 2013

I had a good lunch today at this Halal restaurant at West Coast Plaza. We ordered the set meal for 6 for both tables. Food was pretty good and on average, each of us paid around $10. For the set meal, each category of food has a few items for us to choose from. Other than all the dishes that you see here, there was also prawns with oats, and the set also comes with selected drinks.

Curry Fish Head - Shiok!

Nice claypot chicken

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

This relatively new Cantonese restaurant at White Sands had taken over the former premises of "Lerk Thai" - one of my favourite Thai restaurants. sad I came here with hubby for lunch today after he fetched me from work. This was my second visit here. My first visit here was with 6 other colleagues, we actually ordered all the dim sums on the menu!

The portion of the meatballs porridge was big and we shared this between both of us.
$6.80

Whooo.... our favourite custard buns. Nice! Hubby loved them so much that he took 2.
$3.60 for 3
