Late lunch with EmilyG & Randy before heading to Anthony's house for his surprise birthday celebration.Emily had Braised Pork & Preserved Vegetables Rice. Vegetables at the side is slightly over-cooked & turns soggy, but the braise pork & preserved vegetables is nice. Pork is very tender & preserved vegetables are not too saltyGolden Dust Pork Cutlet Noodle. Again, the vegetable is slightly over-cooked, but the pork cutlet is tender, not over friedPrawn dumpling in Beancurd Skin. Prawn is fresh & beancurd skin is crispy.

Went Tampines1 after work yesterday cos I'm supposed to meet up with EmilyG & Randy to ran some errands for EmilyL's surprised Birthday celebration for Anthony. While queuing at POSB ATM, something interesting caught my eye.

What's so interesting? It's Just Like it! I saw quiet a few people crowding at the counter while the staffs are blending something away behind the counter, so I decided to take a closer look

A closer look at the cafe and it reveals some Science formulas on the wall. Gas cylinders are also seen. Pretty blenders too!So I decided to give it a try while waiting for EmilyG & Randy. Bought Durian Durian & it's yummy. Creamy, thick & with lots of Durian bits! Smells very nice too when they're blending the ice cream

Met up with Angela & Ivy for the Night Festival @ Singapore National Museum. Angela suggested dinner at the Blackbird Cafe which s located at The Luxe, in-between Plaza Singapura & The Cathay.Seafood Chowder is creamy & full of ingredients! *portion is huge, so I suggest sharing itMussel Fritters is nice. It has the "oyster omelette" feelingMini Lamb Burger with Fries. The only complain is the portion is quite huge despite of being "mini". Lamb patty is nicely done & no smell. Pull Pork Sandwich with Fries. Pork is well marinated & nicely done. Juicy & tender. Coleslaw at the bottom of the pork gives the crunchy feel. Nice

After having waffle, my buddy's boyfriend is still hungry and he needs some meat to satisfy his tummy, so we head down to Popeye's for some fried chicken. Buddy's boyfriend had 3pc Chicken meal while she ate half the mashed potato, and she commented that the mashed potato is very salty. Chicken was tender thouI only had fried calamari and it was too chewy! The batter also falls off after the first bite.

After the slight disappointment over dinner at Au Chocolat & live waffle station on Heeran's 1st Birthday, I'm still craving for waffles. Since I'm meeting Evelyn, I drag her and her boyfriend, Wayne to Createaf Waffles to satisfy my craving. I had Chicken Sausage & Floss which taste quite nice but the waffle is too soft it gets a little difficult to cut. Wayne had Merry Berry with a scope of Hazelnut Ice Cream & Evelyn mentions that she tasted a bit of coconut which she don't really likeEvelyn's Sinfully Chocolate is probably one of the best. Texture of the waffle is better than mine. Chocolate shavings & Koko crunch & Chocolate sauce on the waffle, with a scope of Belgium Chocolate Ice Cream

Honestly, waffles here are not what I expected. No fragrant of the waffles when seated in the cafe, I don't even know if they're making the waffles on the spot. I would say, even waffles from Prima Deli smells better!There isn't any service charge nor GST here, so don't expect much service from them. Also, do bring enough cash as they only accepts CASH.
