Tomyum soup nice! Smile Oct 08, 2013

Use to patronise this at Parkway everytime when I am there ever since they move out in the early Feb this year today is my first time visiting them here with my bestie.

It was located on basement in HDB hub when you take escalator down you get to see it seating capacity is about the same as parkway but somehow a bit crampy and is actually in a food court. They can also have their stove being placed outside of their area.

Pricing still about the same and they have different sets to choose from which comes with a plate of vegetable and rice. Took yuan yang soup - chicken and tomyum. Chicken soup was bland but after cooking some food is more tastier and they also provide some soya sauce and pepper for us to add to flavour. Tomyum was good, Yuki and I will always add more thicker to the soup simply love the soup! And best was the chilli nothing beat this I will always buy one big tub during chinese new year cos is a not to be miss when eating steamboat!

Total cost $54+

Pineapple Paste added Smile Sep 28, 2013

Got a gift from friend from DTF! Is their mooncake! I open up and found there is 2 flavour in the box and is really mini version.

White Lotus & Taiwan Pineapple Paste - Something different to me the combination wasn't too bad but cannot taste much on the pineapple paste the white lotus over powering the pineapple paste. Not too sweet I like it!

White Lotus with egg yolk - Not too sweet and is quite common to find this anywhere. The catch of this is only their mini size which will not be too full even you pop in one!

Tea Break! OK Sep 28, 2013

Went to Bedok Point and decided to have a tea break so we ordered a French Loaf set that comes with 2 soft boiled eggs and 4 pieces cut french loaf with butter and kaya spread. I change my drink to Ice lemon tea and Goh opt for their yuan yang.

French loaf after toasting was very crispy and every bite ooze out the butter melt seems like a lava butter loaf! Lemon tea was a bit bland and yuan yang was not really powerful.

Good Catch for a set dinner! Smile Sep 26, 2013

Small Uncle and Aunt buying us dinner and they have also booked the tables at Gim Tim total 4 tables for the Goh & Tan family! Is great to have gathering cos everyone was busy and is a good time to have dinner together and catching up.

Gim Tim a very chinese style restaurant with friendly waitress around serving us which makes us all comfortable. In Conjunction with National Day the restaurant having a promotion - 48$ off for this menu which consists of

- Crispy Peking Duck - Not very crispy but it was good I still prefer to wrap it on my own. And the Peking Duck meat was stir-fried and serve with lettuce and we can wrapped and eat with it and is really good but it was really filling!

- Braised Sharks Fin Soup with Shredded Dried Seafood - quite starchy and generous of sharks fin was added in

- Deep Fried Soon Hock Fish with Mango - this is something different more like a Thai style as the mango goes very well with the bland fish

- Mini Abalone stuffed in Japanese Pocket Tofu - more like Inari sushi but this is not stuff with Japanese rice but with mini abalone. Taste nice with that combination and the gravy goes well with the boiled broccoli!

- This tofu is an additional for the kids as the fish was consider spicy for the kids... steal a bite from my girl, the tofu was really silky and soft ..... melt in the mouth!

- Wok Fried Lobster with Rice Vemercelli - by this dish I am already quite full but this was really good the vemercelli absorb all the sweetness of the gravy so when you chew it the sweetness just burst into the mouth! Lobster was fresh too!

- Fried Chilli Crab with Singapore style - meat was thick and fresh and the gravy was good too thick and tad spicy goes well with a deep fried bun!

- Chilled Cheng Tng with Lotus Seed - this was extremely sweet .... I didn't finished this just one mouth and I gave up!

Overall dining experience was good, the elderly group enjoyed the session over the dinner so is our generation! And the dinner package was a good catch!

steamboat OK Sep 26, 2013

Went to Coca at RWS with my sistas and thanks to Sam for making the reservation! We go for their buffet dinner $40++ per pax. Angeline ordered an ala carte fried rice ($15) for her helper and we also ordered 1 ala carte roast pork ($19). Roast pork was juicy and the skin was crispy with the cracking sound when chewing.

We have 2 pot of tom yam and 1 chicken soup (for my hubby and kids), I find that the tom yum was rather bland not very spicy and as for chicken soup was quite ok but after dumping all the raw food in the chicken soup turns more sweeter.

Chilli was not as good as mini steamboat delight and was not spicy enough we need to pour in chili padi to add on for the spicy level. Total spending: $ 352.30
