Soya Bean Curd Smile Jul 22, 2013

Soya Bean Curd

Soya Bean Curd

Bought these Lao Ban Soya Bean Curds at Old Airport Road Food Central and the stall owner actually took them out from the fridge.

The texture of the bean curd was smooth and silky and it melted immediately after placing into my mouth. There was a mild sweetness in the bean curd which was tasty and refreshing. It was a good and recommended dessert to eat in such hot and humid Singapore weather.

The Lao Ban Soya Bean curd costs about $1.50 which I think is pretty affordable although it may be slightly pricey than some other "brands" of bean curd.

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine Smile Jul 22, 2013

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine

Ordered this Tom Yam Seafood Linguine at the Ice Edge Cafe and the taste of this dish was pretty unique and appetizing.

There were fresh prawn, mussel and calamari mixed together with linguine as well as chef’s special tom yam sauce. The prawns were soft and crunchy and the combination of the tender linguine and the tom yam sauce was superb. The only imperfect part of this dish was the slightly over chewy mussel and calamari.

Ice Edge Cafe was an ideal place for chilling and for relaxation as the ambience of the place was pretty good.

Javier's Rotisserie & Salad Bar Smile Jul 22, 2013

]Paid about $9 and I can fill the plate once with as much hot and cold sides at the salad bar. I think the price was quite affordable for many, considering that the plate was pretty big and one can pile up the food to a certain height. If I'm not wrong, the diameter of the plate was about 30 cm and one plate can actually be shared among few person,

The hot and cold sides over there were pretty appetizing and appealing as well. I took wedges, onion rings, mash potatoes, mushrooms and some other salads. Among all, I prefer onion rings and mash potatoes the most.

The onion rings were crispy and soft in the inner although they were slightly oily. The mash potatoes were soft and they tasted good together with the brown sauce.

Toast with Ice Cream Smile Jul 22, 2013

Toast with Ice Cream

Toast with Ice Cream

Ordered this Toast with Ice Cream at OldTown White Coffee and it was definitely not a disappointing one.

The toast was very crispy and crunchy although there was a mild taste of bitterness from the slightly burnt toast. Also the smell of the burnt toast was pretty alright and acceptable. The ice cream was cold and creamy, it melted immediately in mouth, giving a cooling sensation. It went extremely well with the crispy toast.

The environment of this restaurant was pretty good as the place was not too crowded. Furthermore, public can have free access to their Wi-Fi.

Vegetarian Pasta  Smile Jul 21, 2013

Vegetarian Pasta

Vegetarian Pasta

Ordered Vegetarian Pasta at The Mind Café and the combination of the sliced shitake mushroom, pasta together with cream sauce were creamy, soft and delicious. Also, we won't face any thirst at any point of time as there were free flow of drinks.

This dish alone was $9.50 but it was more affordable to get the Monday to Thursday Mind Happy Hour Package which consists of 4 hours of Board Gaming or Console Gaming, free flow of drinks and any main course. This package was only $12 excluding GST and service charge.

The environment was vibrant and it was a good place for youths or a group of people to mingle, chill and relax.
