Grilled fillet of salmon, crushed kipfler potato, asparagus and sauce bois boudran, $25

Linguini aglio olio with south australian king prawns, garlic and sesame crumbs, $28

Halia chilli crab spaghettini Singapore-style spicy, sweet and tangy crabmeat sauce tossed in pasta, $28

Toasted sourdough with sauteed spinach, portobello mushroom, pine nuts, meredith goat cheese and herbs, $22

I especially enjoyed the fresh salmon and chilli crab spaghettini. The aglio olio was a bit too oily but the prawns were damn awesome and fresh. The toasted sourdough was not filling at all! Luckily those mushrooms were huge and juicy and satisfying enough.

Total damage: $121++ for a family of four.

Good ambience to dine in – you have all the peace and greenery!

Must-try chilli crab spaghettini!

Arteastiq OK May 20, 2013
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Shanghainese | Dim Sum

Here I’m! I chanced upon Arteastiq @ Millenia Walk today. It caught my eye because there’s many artistic stuff and I thought the pricing of the food’s pretty reasonable – you can get desserts below $5 and main courses below $10. I thought I found
gold……. but it was not really so. Arteastiq plays Chinese songs by the way.

I was slightly shocked when I was billed $0.60 for the wet towel and $1.00 for a cup of warm water with some lemon taste. Luckily I said I didn’t want the peanuts so I wasn’t charged for that.

I think the concept’s quite cool – can eat, can paint. 3 hours of painting for $48. I didn’t felt like doing any artistic stuff so I skipped it. I think I wouldn’t be patient enough to paint something for 3 hours anyway!

Black Glut Rice, $4.80.
Cold dessert with a tinge of orange peel taste topped with pretty sweet vanilla ice-cream. It gave an overall refreshing and sweet taste. Desserts are meant to be sweet right?

Red Bean Pancake, $6.50
Slightly oily, slightly crispy and filled with sticky paste of red bean. Overall so-so to me. I didn’t like the oil part.

TOTAL DAMAGE: $15.15 for 2 persons

Udders Mao Shan Wang Ice Cream Smile May 20, 2013

My mao shan wang durian ice cream $5.30. Extremely strong durian taste. Slurps! It's really worth it because the durian is so damn shiok!!!!!!!!!! You can even draw grafitti on the window panes, quite cool concept! Music's hip too. Good place to chill for ice creams. There're many flavours to choose from. I especially recommend the durian one for durian lovers.

Relish Cry May 20, 2013

I don’t know why we ended up ordering the chicken wings which were so not worth it =( Fail please. I think the original Wild Rocket atmosphere is x1000 more romantic and classy.

$9.50 chicken wings. Super not worth it! The mushroom alike sauce tasted very weird and salty while the chilli sauce tasted like chicken rice chilli. Both sauces were so bad….. even the wings were too oily and had a bad chicken smell. KFC is better.

Really plain OK May 20, 2013
Categories : Australian / New Zealand | Café

/One of those hidden shophouses. I guess it caters affordable food for residents living around tanjong pagar area. The menu style is similar to Wild Honey where we read the items off a printed menu that’s displayed on a big board and leaned against the wall.

The half dean’s breakfast $6 NETT. I think it’s cheese and mushrooms. A little salty!

My half darling eggs $6.50 NETT. Just egg, ham, cheese, tomato. Too normal… no unique taste. Its name is cute though.

The Plain played loud music early in the morning…… too vibrant and noisy for me. Not a place to go if you’re looking for some peace in the morning!
