Commendable Dishes @ Reddo Sushi Smile Aug 05, 2015

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

What impresses you most the food quality or the service of the restaurant or both?

I had a very impressive experience yesterday while dining at Reddo Sushi at Bugis +

This is my first visit to this restaurant and was going through the various pages of the menu wondering what to order for lunch.

There comes an Indian waiter recommending me some of the most delectable dishes I ever had at this Japanese casual dinning restaurant located at #04-13.

Reddo is one of Singapore's latest Sushi dining oulet.

These are two of the drinks we ordered for our lunch.
Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey

Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey

This 16 full oz of Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey was very refreshing. Part of the reason why I ordered this drink was also the packaging. Green Tea for its health benefits and Ginseng for energy and nature's natural sweetner, honey.
Arizona Chinese Apple Pomegranate Green Tea

The other drink 16 full oz from the same brand Arizona is made from Pomegranate with Green Tea combination. Also just as refreshing at the first bottle. Light and not overpowering Vitamin C Antioxidant.

I was told by the waiter that all customers who ordered these drinks have requested for the bottles to be taken away and I did the same.

The highlight of this lunch meal is none other than "Hamchi Kama Shioyaki".
Hamichi Kama Shioyaki

Hamichi Kama Shioyaki

This is the collar or rather the meaty part of the fish surrounding the gills.

Hamchi is a young yellow tail fish.

The barbequed Hamachi fish is so tender, juicy and delicious.

A "must try" dish and goes well with a bowl of hot Japanese rice.

The deco of this casual dining restaurant is set with interior of striking red, black and white colours surrounded with sake barrels.

Salmon Belly Sashimi served was very fresh and thickly sliced and reasonably priced.

The Chilli Crab Sushi is unique in taste and this is the first time I have taken sushi with chilli crab dressing.

The Tobiko Sushi is just as fresh and crunchy. Bite into it and the Tobiko popped in the mouth.

The service was good and the food was tasty.

I will definitely bring my friends and the other members of my family to this restaurant again.

By the way, currently the restaurant is offering a 15% discount for all DBS card holders.

For the price of $3.00 for the original rojak you are given a variety of ingredients such as
generous slices of cucumber, pineapple, crispy you char kway, beansprouts and seasonal fruits.  Topped with a large amount of grounded toasted peanuts and gravy.

You can opt for toasted cuttlefish at $1.00 per piece.

Indeed value for money. Where can you find such deal these days?

Categories : Singaporean Chinese

Having waited like 9 months before the opening of the revamped Chinatown Food Street at Smith Street, we decided to drop by the refurbished food street to try some local cuisine.

We couldnt resist a plate of  fried oysters from Katong Keah Kee Fried Oysters.

Priced at $5.00 per plate are well cooked big fresh succulent oysters coated with omelettee a dish popular with our local Singaporean.

Chempedak Ice Cream Smile Mar 20, 2014

Have you tried ice cream made with liquid nitrogen?I just discovered this interesting concept at 320 Below after shopping at Cold Storage Tampines One.
This cafe is just next to Cold Storage.

The soothing ice cream was smooth with chempedak pulps mixed. Fresh made right in front of me. The quick freeze process ensures no build up of ice crystals resulting in a smooth texture.

320 Below is Singapore's First Nitro Cream Cafe. Deliciously smooth ice cream, sorbet and yoghurt freshly made right in front of you with liquid nitrogen.

There are no flavorings, preservatives, emulsifiers or stabilizers in all their products, and they are low in sugar.  A good choice for health conscious customers.

There are many choices of  unique flavours.

Dark chocolate, Thai coconut, peanut butter, lava cake with ice ceam, blackcurrant, Bailey's coffee and many more to be chosen from. What they offer not only ice cream, there are also pastries and beverages.

I opted for the Chempedak Ice Cream priced S$5.80.

The taste was unique and less sweet and no nasty germs survived at below 320 degrees F.

Will go back for more.

After a food session at Savour 2014 and under the hot sun, Smoothie King Slim & Lite Angel Foo 194 Cal sure was a good thirst quencher.

Low fat, creamy blend of bananas and strawberries with non fat milk, soy protein, turbinado, vanilla.

Price at S$6.70 for a regular.

The staff were very polite and friendly. This is my first trip to a Smoothie King outlet and they definitely have given me a very good recommendation for a light smoothie drink.

Will go back for more Smoothie probably at Bedok Mall.
