I spent a total of 15.20 for 4 dishes plus 2 plate of rice, there quite a variety of food, but guess it does depend on days since my mother was saying that today there wasn't much to choose compare to other days my parents come to visit. The otah dish is quite nice and heard from my dad that is the famous dish from this store.

Plus I do like the sotong dish especially, it really yummy and taste really nicer compare to other places (:

Teochew porridge Cry Sep 17, 2013

I went there to eat with family, but ended up getting to pay 30 plus. Quite expensive for a dinner for three people, so learn my lesson that while ordering, DO REMEMBER to indicate the number of pieces you want especially for the meat and the seafood items. cause when my dad order, they gave us more than what we thought will get. and to make things sadder, most of the food was either cold or just lukewarm, even the porridge that suppose to be hot was just lukewarm. only the fish paste thingy was acceptable since it is usually place in the hot porridge to cook, so its cold. Not really a nice experience that was looking for. As compared to the old place before it shifted to this location, the food standard was really better compared to now sad

I went to sheng kee for dinner since my mom wanted to, ordered each a set and upgraded with the extra $1.90 for either the desserts/snacks or the drink.

find the taste of wanton noodle was just nice, just that there too little sauce, but the wantons are just sweet enough smile if only the mango pomelo sago was alittle more icely and colder, might taste nicer, but still taste abit too sweet that you might need to drink water after finishing a bowl of it. carrot cake was soft and mushy inside while crunchy on the skin surface.

Bak kut teh OK Sep 01, 2013
Categories : Bak Kut Teh

I went with my family to try the bak kut teh. The bak kut teh had extra ingredients unlike the few shops I tried before. There are a bit of golden mushrooms, and some pig stomach in together with the normal stuff, and the soup tastes more herb-like and sweeter! It tastes nice for me, and the best thing is that its being served hot! It is steaming hot and still boiling after it is served. Pig trotters are tender, just that the skin part does not really taste interesting, just simple okay okay taste for me.

In my own personal opinion, the you tian taste much better than the meat in the bak kut teh, the meat wasn't really tender and soup base itself very pepper-ish? Like you will taste more of the pepper than the soup itself. I thought the soup will taste slightly different with the pig stomach one, but both the soup is the same taste sad But I do love the barley drink there, taste really nice and sweet, got the barley taste compare to other places that taste overly sweet with no barley taste left lol
