Interesting Bicycle Cafe OK Mar 26, 2014

a very interesting concept cafe, which is like a bicycle garage cum cafe. there are alot of bicycles inside this cafe, some were even on the dining table.

I had the Big Breakfast Set (the one which is = at the bottom of the picture) , which cost sgd$12.90 and it consists of toast, salad, sunny side up eggs, bacon, sausage and hashbrown. I would say this dish is quite mediocre but given the wide varitey for $12.90, i find it quite value for money.

I also had mocha which cost around sgd $6 and it was quite diluted in my opinion.

Overall, i think that the this place is worth at least a visit due to its interesting concept. however the food quality is rather average.

mediocre ramen OK Mar 24, 2014

Was at tampines the other day with my friend and we were both craving for hot ramen soup as it has been raining lately. Instead of going to Aijisen, we headed to Ramen Kagetsu Arashi which is located at tampines one. I have ordered this char siew ramen which is quite average. Nothing fantastic about it but it wasn’t bad either. The soup is a little salty and the char siew is a bit too hard to my liking. The noodles were soft and chewy though. I paid sgd$14 for this (including gst and service charge). Personally, I have eaten better ramen with the same price. But it is still worth a try since I have never been here before.

Sushi  OK Mar 17, 2014

Was feeling hungry on the way home and decided to stop by edo sushi and get some sushi to eat when i reach home.

i get this set of sushi for $4 and find it rather worthwhile for money although it is not of top quality. as shown in the pictures, there are flavors such as cheese, crabmeet, egg and tuna. the cheese and tuna taste fresh while the egg and crabmeat taste a bit artifical to me. the sushi could have taste better if the seaweed around it is less soggy. I have purchased a small packet of wasabi which cost me additional 10cents and the wasibi taste good with all the sushi.

Do also take note that there is a 50% discount if you purchase after 9pm with a minimum purchase of $5.

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Supper)

Chicago Cheesecake OK Mar 17, 2014

was looking for a place to sit down with my friend after dinner to catch up with each other. we came to coffee bean and order a Chicago cheesecake to share. We both of us are cheesecake lovers; we have tried many cheesecakes from other restaurant before. We find that this cheesecake is rather mediocre, the cheese flavor isn’t strong enough to our liking. Nothing is really bad about it but there isn’t anything fantastic though. However, I gotta say that the texture of the cake is quite soft. Portion is quite huge too. Overall, I will not specially go back for their cheesecakes.

average cold noodles OK Mar 17, 2014

Was craving for Korean food at far east plaza (FEP) and the only place that i can think of to dine at is su Korean cuisine, located at basement 1 of FEP. I have been there before for their Korean bbq and it was not bad. This time round, I am back for their ale carte dishes. As usual, they are generous with their sides. They all are refillable and all are yummy! My favourite will be ikan bilis and kimchi. Kimchi was very spicy that day and i like it.For the main, I have ordered cold noodles. The staff came with scissors and cut the noodles as they are really long and lumped together. The staffs there were generally very friendly and attentive. I was quite happy with their service. Anyway, the cold noodle was alright, but nothing fantastic about it too. It was quite different from those i have in Korean. The taste was quite plain. The portion is quite huge and i couldn’t finish it.Overall, i will only be back in future for their Korean bbq.
