do not be fooled by the name of this dish.

we could not find any sea cucumber inside. not even a tiny piece, considering the price.

this place was once famed for selling abalone and sharkfins at super low prices. they still do. but somehow, my food order was less than perfect.

the soup had a mild tom yam taste to it, and none of the tom yam fragrance you normally get when you order a tom yam soup item.

most sets come with a dessert of the day (mine was white fungus today) and a glass of hot tea (which you have to find a cup and pour-it-yourself)

dessert was not bad actually. not too sweet and had reasonable amount of white fungus in it.

Was planning to go to another café for brunch, but that place was packed to the brim.

We then chanced upon this café and after glancing through the menu, our hungry tummies decided for us. We stayed.

Sunny side ups served on thick toast, grilled ham, cheddar, smashed avocado. I do not like it.

The bread was soggy and I was surprised that despite its state, it was still difficult to slice. Perhaps the knife was blunt.

Got a coffee and a basket of potato wedges while i while time away pending an appointment later in the evening. Coffee was not remarkable but it was quite a big cup as compared to most cafés. Potato wedges arrived swiftly after. looks golden brown and sizzling hot. but bite into it and you realised that they could hv cooked it longer. some parts were still raw 

However, service staff were very polite and helpful.

This is a new item on their buffet menu - the Pecorino Porcini and Shaved Black Truffle.

In my opinion, this dish is very good and impressive in the way Greenhouse did their presentation. However, in terms of taste, I would say it is an acquired one. Personally, I find the dish bland except for a very mild spicy tinge to it.

A good 'show' to watch them preparing it, but can walk away after clapping

This used to be one of my fave beef noodles places in Singapore. As of today, no longer

Temperature: lukewarm food is not enticing at all
Noodles: can be softer
Sliced beef: very thin which is nice
Soup: somewhat sour
Chilli: not as spicy as before

They had a renovation some time back and you no longer have to stand at the counter to queue for your food and self-collect. However, this means you are charged service charges now.

My bowl today costs slightly above $10.
