Lunch time value meal OK Jan 14, 2014

Categories : American | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

It was crowded during lunch the weekday afternoon i went and waited for 15 minutes before getting a table. There was lunch time promotion and i ordered a cheesy fish and chips for about $10 and topped up $5+ for a soup of the day and iced lemon tea.The soup of the day was mushroom soup and it was served hot almost immediately upon ordering. However for my main dish i waited for at least 20 minutes before it came. The taste is good, the fish and chips was nicely battered and fried, and it wasnt too oily.I love dipping the cheese sauce to eat with my fish and fries.I would come back again another day during off peak hours to minimise waiting time.

Average korean food OK Jan 14, 2014
Categories : Korean | Korean BBQ

We were here 1 late afternoon and decided to try out this korean restaurant as it looked inviting. We ordered a army stew pot and fried seafood pancake to share. There was free iced water and a kimchi salad bar which was free flow.I was really excited to try the kimchi as i loves kimchi. However to my disappointment, the kimchi is not chilled and it was really sour. The other side dishes were very average as well. The pancake and stew tasted very normal too.

old chang kee cafe OK Jan 14, 2014
Categories : Singaporean | Halal

I was surprised when i passed by this old chang kee outlet as it is the first i have seen with their own cafe beside it.The cafe is not big,i guess at most it can only sit 20.Besides the usual grab and go deep fried delights, they also have dishes here such as nasi lemak, thai spicy chicken rice set,mee siam, interestingly they also sell desserts such as the snow fungus soup which i had.The taste is ok i paid about $10 for my rice+ dessert+drink. It is quite stressful to eat here during lunch period as there are alot of people waiting for tables queuing outside the cafe.

set lunch OK Jan 14, 2014

We were there for their lunch set promos which starts from $10.90.For the price,it includes a bowl of ramen+a side dish +a drink of your choice which was quite reasonable.I had the charsiew ramen with fried gyoza and iced lemon tea.The taste of the ramen was average but portion is good.Thr fried gyoza is normal too,i dont personally like the ice lemon tea as it is too sour and abit bitter for me.

Assam laksa OK Jan 14, 2014

Categories : Singaporean | Fusion | Restaurant | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

I was quite interested with their laksa menu which has sarawak laksa, laksa baked rice, traditional laksa etc hence i popped in this store to satisfy my laksa craving. In the end,I ordered a bowl of assam laksa at about $8.50 to try out.Portion is ok,the laksa came served in a large ceramic bowl.Taste is average for the price i paid,it could have more sardines meat to make it more wholesome.
