Pig Organ Soup OK Dec 16, 2010
Categories : Chinese | Food Court | Stall / Kiosk | Chinese Soup | Kids-Friendly

The auntie always give lots of salted vegetables for the pig organ soup. There's also pork meat ball, tofu, pig liver, pig stomach and slice pork inside the mixed pig organ soup.
The yam rice is fragrant and sometime if you are lucky will have few piece if yam inside..(but most of the time no). The yam rice is always run out of stock if you are late. You might ask the auntie to add some gravy from their braised meat.

Categories : Hawker Centre | Brunch

What can you have with less than a dollars? You can have a cup of best soya bean milk from amoy street food center. It's located at the ground floor.
You can taste the soya bean and unlike others soya bean milk stall which is just like the water add some sugar.
You may also try soya bean curd from soon shui. It's smooth and silky. Very good choice for dessert after meals.

Green apple green tea Cry Dec 16, 2010

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Recently, there are many new stall selling bubble tea such as koi, happy lemon, gong cha...
The bubble effect make me forgot there's a hidden stall "outside" tiong bahru plaza selling bubble tea.
Sad to say that the sweet talk is not as good as any of the new stall. The pearls are not chewy and I would rather say the pearls are hard. The tea is tasteless as well.

Student promo OK Dec 16, 2010

Categories : American | Steaks and Grills

First time trying their student meal. Not too bad but the portion is relatively small compared to the set lunch. There're 3 selections for students meal: beef pasta, bake rice and chicken chop. It's comes with the drinks and the ice cream. I also top up 1 dollar for the soup and bread. The soup of the day I tried was potato creamy soup. It's delicious and goes well with the garlic bread. I ordered the chicken chop with chips for the main course. The chicken is crispy but I found it's only flour and the meat seems like over-fried.
The dessert is ice cream with nuts. At first I thought it's only a scoope of ice cream but they added nuts, whipped cream and put a cherry on it.
The student meal costs me about $8.50 for lunch.

Cheap but poor staff service OK Dec 15, 2010
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Teochew | Coffeeshop

This stall is located near Zouk, therefore you can see alot of "chiongster" at wee hours. Nevertheless, I went to visit the stall during lunchtime and it was not so packed as compared to late night period. I ordered the sweet sour pork, steamed egg and fried potato along with my rice. I love the steam egg as it is very tender and melts in my mouth. The only thing i don't like is the attitude of their staff. They were quite reluctant to serve me initially when I said I want to order rice instead of porridge. Perhaps they will charge me more if I had porridge instead.
