Dorayakis & Cakes OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Bakery

Was at Serangoon North Ave 1 to run some errands and once again patronized one of my favorite cake shops in Serangoon. This cake shop does not only sell cakes. It sells breads, tarts, jellies and also, Dorayakis! Always I will buy its Mango Cake ($3.50 for 1 roll), but I decided to try out something different this time round.

I bought its Dorayakis and mini cakes. For their mini cakes, its sold at $0.70 each, 3 for $2.00. You can choose from Chocolate or Cream Flavor. As for its Dorayakis, its just simply plain flavor. Whats special is that they have chocolate frosting and designs on top of the Dorayaki. Its sold for $0.80 each.

Salty Tau Sar Piah OK Dec 03, 2013
Categories : Bakery

Thye Moh Chan is one of the brands under Breadtalk.

It is specialized for biscuits, pineapple cakes and tau sar piah. Bought some of its tau sar piah to try, including its sweet tau sar piah and its salty tau sar piah. Ther were really tasty, the fillings inside are also very up to standard. One of its special tau sar piah is its cranberry tau sar piah which is rather sweet, but its quite special and and its a change from its traditional tau sar piahs.

These tau sar piahs are available in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. The one shown in the picture is the large size, which cost $24.80. This can be easily share amongst 6-8 people, the filling inside the large size and the small size is actually the same, just that the big one looks rather more presentable if you're intending to get it as a gift for someone.

Costa Coffee OK Dec 01, 2013
Categories : English | Burgers and Sandwiches

Was there at its opening ceremony to try out some of its food.

313 Somerset Costa Coffee is one of its newest outlets, it is directly opposite Marche.

Costa Coffee serves great coffee and some mini bites. We tried out its Tuna Meltz on Soft Bageutte as well as its Pesto Chicken on bread. The Tuna Meltz is quite delicious, with the bread being toasted and with the melted tuna, it makes a perfect pairing. As for its Pesto chicken, there's nothing really special about it.

Flavored Cakes OK Dec 01, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Bakery

This shop is located near the entrance to Causeway Point, just beside Sushi Express. This shop does not only sell breads, but it also sell flavored cakes and dorayakis which are quite rare in Singapore!

Each dorayaki ranges from $1.50 to $2.00, it has various flavors, ranging from blueberry to cheese to chocolate, almost anything that you can name it, they have it!

Each flavored cake is priced at $1.20, 8 for $8. Also has many different flavors, the stall keeper recommended its Durian and original flavored, telling me that its the hot seller in its shop! Worth to try!

The cakes are quite soft and nice. But, the filling inside the cake is rather stingy and thus, you can't really taste the filling inside.

TCC Food OK Dec 01, 2013
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant

Was there for supper while waiting for someone.

Tried out its Delxue Snack Platter, which consist of 2 dips, Calamaris, Onion Rings and Mozza Sticks.

Nothing really special, the sauces are bland and Mozza sticks aren't really nice. The only thing that I like is its Calamaris. Other than that, not really nice. Also tried out some of the drinks on the menu, also aren't really fanciful.
