chicken curry puff

chicken curry puff

8 tarts and pastries is famous for their egg tarts. I usually buy egg tarts only but today I saw something new at their outlet, they are selling chicken curry puff! I love their curry puff , the curry filling is rich and moist with pieces of chicken and potatoes, the skin of the puff is flaky and crispy, it has the kind of texture that I like. I had eaten chicken curry puff many times and this is definitely one of the best.

meringue Smile Aug 04, 2012

I walked past this bakery shop and was attracted by the colourful meringue displayed. This whole packet cost $5.90 which I think is a bit steep if compared to the one selling at candy empire but tasted less powdery and more crispy. They are also smaller that I could just pop one into my mouth without biting. My son loves meringue and he would put a few into his milk to add some flavour and sweetness to it.

cream cheese bun Smile Aug 04, 2012

My daughter bought this cream cheese bun for me to try as she said this bakery has the best cream cheese bun so far.
The bun contains some raisins in it. The texture of the cheese filling is like cheese cake, the bun is very soft and a bit chewy.
I have tried other cream cheese bun from several bakeries and I have to agree with my daughter that this is the best that I have ever tasted.

Fragrant Coffee Smile Aug 03, 2012

I love to have a cup of hot black coffee after my lunch here whereas my friend loves her ice coffee. We like their sitting area too, it gives a very warm feeling, we could chat over a cup of coffee for an hour or so.

Their black coffee is very fragrant and does not taste sour even when it has turned cold. I have to order two cups of coffee because I do not feel satisfied drinking just a small cup of coffee, hope they could change to a bigger cup like those selling in kopitiam.

Chicken Curry Udon Smile Aug 03, 2012

I don't like the seats in this restaurant, they are very near to the table and I find it uncomfortable dining in such a small area. Had craving for curry udon today, so despite the discomfort, I still went down to this restaurant to have my favourite chicken curry udon. I was told that I can get a set consists of sushi, a steam egg and a cup of green tea for S$3, so I ordered a set to complete my meal.

I like their curry udon because the curry is cooked with a lot of onions and covered with big chunks of fried chicken pieces. They used paper cup for the green tea instead of the usual porcelain cup this time. I prefer the paper cup as the porcelain material is too hot to hold with our bare hands.

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Lunch)
