So-so only OK Jul 21, 2010

Categories : American | Coffee

Meet up with the boys to catch up and ended up in the usual place.

Even though it is pretty much what we expected, we were amazed to find that starbucks also offer cakes!

We ordered

Beef Pie ($S5.80)
Coffee Cheese Cake (S$6)
Honey Almond Cake (S$6)

The Beef Pie is so-so only similar to the chicken pie we have at MacD

Coffee Cheese Pie is far better especially for this who are into coffee and cheese because the initial caffeine taste will gradually leave behind the cheese aftertaste.

As for the Honey Almond, it will be a hit for people who has a sweet-tooth. Not one i will prefer.

Roasted Soya nuts OK Jul 19, 2010

Categories : Desserts and Cakes

On was way home and decided to grab healthy snack.
Found Mr Bean down the corner and decided to try their new roasted soya nuts with chili lime flavor (S$2).

Cannot really taste the soya but definitely can taste the chili. Think it will be better if they are roasted in their original taste.

Half the fats but double the proteins - sure this is a healthier choice but do not think I can have this everyday.

Verdict: Go for it if you want to feel healthy.

Thick, fragrant beef noodles OK Jul 18, 2010

Was there to pick up wifey and go for dinner.

Were lucky to chance upon this famous stall. The shop is filled with newspaper cutting hence decided to give it a try.

And we regretted! For not ordering more..lol

The noodles is smooth and silky. I rem trying similar one in Ipoh and this is relatively quite comparable. The soup is thick and you can ready taste that the soup has been brewed under sufficient heat for long long hours.

The best part is definitely the medium rare tender beer, soft and red... tongue

It is definitely a MUST-TRY

Was out there early on a special mission.
But even robots got to add fuel right??
Hence we decided to have a quick bite in one of the biggest fast food chain in SG- Burger King

Never know they actually serve breakfast.

We ordered the CROISSAN'WICK TURKEY BACON meal(S$5.45) and it absolutely kicked start my day!
Contained turkey bacon, egg and lots of cheese. The bread is fresh and puffy. Maybe because it is baked fresh in the morning unlike those stale ones in the afternoon.
The set also comes with free-flow of hot drinks and a regular hashbrowns

Will probably try their scrambled egg platter next time.

Mocha Ice-Blended Smile Jul 18, 2010

Categories : American

One of my all time favorite – Mocha Ice-Blended(Regular - S$6.70)
Has been loving it since secondary school days and never ever grow sick of it.

The fragrant of the coffee bean together with cool ice makes it the prefer drink in tropical country like Singapore.

But please avoid adding the unhealthy whipped cream even though it enhances the overall taste.
