Ivins have been a restaurant that is located in heartland mall for almost as long as it was built. There is always a crowd and queue during peak meal periods. I tried the curry veg and assam chicken the other day. The curry is really nice as it brings out the spiciness but its not the numbing type of spicy. The desserts are also good with chendol and hot bu bu cha cha.

Recommended Dish(es):  Curry, Chendol

Fruit Tart Smile Dec 26, 2013

Fruit Paradise have one of the nicest looking fruit tarts around Singapore and it always makes me look twice when I pass by. To match up to its beautiful appearance, it taste quite nice. I ordered a berry chocolate fruit tart this time and I really like the crust they use. The cream is not too overpowering but the berries were slightly on the sour side.

I will definitely recommend it to people who have yet to try their fruit tarts.

Waffles Smile Dec 26, 2013

Gelare have been one of the waffle go to places especially since it is easily accessible cause it is located in malls. They are very generous with the chocolate syrup and the ice cream here was really good. The waffles have the outer crisp which goes very well together with the ice cream.

Crab Buffet OK Dec 26, 2013

Plaza Brasserie have this annual crab buffet during the crab season. They offer dangui crab and steam crab along with famous Singapore crab dishes Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab. They also had the fried salted egg crab and butter crab. Personally I preferred the steamed crab as the other crabs were too oily. After eating one or two you wouldn't feel like eating more. The rest of the buffet spread was good and up to their usual standard.

Dimsum lunch buffet Smile Dec 26, 2013

Read an article about liu sha bao around Singapore and one of its recommendations is the LSB at Ju Chun Yuan. After trying it out, I would say it was good but I had better at other places. The four season siew mai was their speciality and I felt it looks unique but taste wise it didn't taste any dfferent.

This dimsum lunch buffet is also one of the cheaper ones around Singapore and I think as a whole it was worth the price. It also offers a variety of desserts which was very nice.
