This can be considered as one of my most frequently eaten dish. I love the zhu char kway teow here! The kway teow is the thin kind, it is smooth but yet offers a really nice bite. The soup is wonderful, probably simmered many hours in pork bone and prawn heads. The soup is full bodied, very flavourful add a dose of chili powder and it becomes perfect. Generous portion of kidney, pig's heart, pork, intestine and pig skin. If you are into eating the innards, this is the perfect bowl of noodles for you!

I chose the yummiest dishes amongst all the other buffet items we had. I was surprise by the crowd on a week day 3pm. Maybe it is due to the groupon offers? Or maybe cause it is a youth day holiday. But anyhow, judging from the crowd, i knew that the food cant be too bad. Oh yes i didnt have high expectations.. ha maybe cos it was a groupon offering.
The other surprise I had was the push trolley method that this restaurant adopts, so retro! It functions like a banquent style where all the diners are offered the same dishes at one time.

This is quite unique, fried durian prawns. Yummy!I love the black seasame bun, bite into the bun and thick creamy sesame oozes outthis is the custard egg yolk bun, not badegg tartschar siew souKueh pie tie is a unique offering for a dim sum placeI think this is the delicious beef tendon. Overall a very satisfying meal, cheap and good!

Por kee is one of those places that i visit pretty often. Maybe not because the food is extremely fantastic but because it brings back a certain nostalgia. Or maybe just being in Tiong Bharu residential estate gives you that kind of homely feely. Anyway this place is not cheap, they serves pretty expensive dishes for a tze char restaurant. There is outdoor and indoor sitting. You need to make advance reservation if you want to be seated indoors. The restaurant is also separated into 2 sites, just adjacent from each other.

This is one of the popular dishes, champagne pork ribs. I felt it was much better the last time we ate. Maybe it was the wrong pork that we ordered? I remember the last time each one of us were given a fork and knief for this dish, and all of us were serve one slab of pork ribs. Hmm not this time thoughPretty ordinary chickenI love sweet potato leaves, so well, i certainly love this dishSalted egg crayfish was very good! A very distinctive salted egg taste, very crispy some so crispy that you could even eat part of the shell. The meat was firm and juicy.Sotong was so soTom yum steamfish was delicious, they used to be able to provide free top up of the tom yum soup but not anymoreThis is the seafood treasures with lots of sea cucumber, toufu and scallops. Yum!

Pepperoni was close so no choice had to walk across the road to great world city for pizza. Overall I am not a fan of skinny pizza as the name suggest, it is a little bit too skinny, I prefer the pizza base with more bite, more chewy and more substance. Not so skinny and crispy.
Anyhow the toppings for the pizzas was quite generous as you can see from the photo. This is the interesting English Breakfast Pizza with rocket leaves, bacon, tomato and a sunny side up egg, really seems like an English breakfast meal. The squid ink risotto was not bad, quite tasty.Mushroom soup was thick, creamy and mushroomyThis is some Chicken curry or chicken tikka / masala pizza, pretty unique too. Like the spices in the pizza. East meets West.
