Casallena - a new favorite place of mine for dining in class at a very affordable place. I was greeted with tons of bottles of good wines at the entrance the the friendly and funny waiter bring us to our sit by the window, overlooking the alfresco dining area. We had a soup, an appetizer, an entree and dessert. My favorite of all is definitely the appetizer, the tuna tataki. As this is the first time I had tuna tataki, I find the taste unique and refreshing. Though it is pan seared on the outside to give it a crispy outer layer but still raw in the middle, it does not have those raw fishy smell at all. Taste wise is flavorful with the seasoning and the portion given is sufficient for 2 diners. An enjoyable meal which didn't burn a big hole in my wallet!

I am a big fan of chinese style double boiled soup so when I was pretty excited when I first step in to this famous soup restaurant for dinner for the first time. I didn't know what to order so I shall go with the popular and signature soup of the restaurant - Double Boiled Dried Scallop with Black Chicken Soup. This soup promotes invigorates blood circulation & relieve stress so why not? Since eating should be stress free! When my soup arrives, it smells so good that I would have drink the whole pot at one go if it wasn't for the pipping hot steam... The soup indeed taste good as it smell, the herbal taste is just nice and not overpowering bitter. The ingredients inside is very generous and definitely worth the price I am paying. Definitely going back to the restaurant for the other soups!

Decided to chill at a coffee place after dinner to wait for our movie to start. As coffee bean is full of people, we decided to walk over to coffee club. A little bit pricey but at the comfort of lesser crowd. I decided to get a cake for myself and there's quite a few items to choose. Finally settled with the blue berry cheesecake. The cake tasted good, and the texture is very rich with cream cheese. The blue berry puree makes the cake even more flavorful. Didn't know that not only do they have good coffee, coffee club also have such nice cake to enjoy. Will definitely be back to try more of their cakes!

I had the pumpkin soup in bread bowl since I wanted to order something special. The soup comes in the presentation of pouring the soup into a big hollow bread bowl. Is quite amazing how the soup spoon team can make the presentation so perfect that the bread bowl can hold the soup in place. After the soup is finished, you will then eat the bread (or not since it will be quite filling). I like the smoothness of the pumpkin soup and I will mass spam it with lotsa black pepper. It tasted really good with the extra spiciness from the pepper. The bread bowl is crispy too on the outside. Will definitely try the bread bowl again!

So I heard so much rave about the dim sum from Victor's Kitchen especially their Liu Sha Bao. Since I was around the area, I decided to check it out. Bought myself 6 pieces of Liu sha bao to bring home and share with my family. When I reach home, the liu sha bao is still lukewarm and one bite of it.. it was heavenly! The salted egg yolk inside tasted so good! Thankfully it's not hot not my tongue will definitely be burnt. Now I understand why there's so many recommendation to it. I will definitely be going back again!
