Who can ever forget their times in army? I certainly cant!! Life was good sometimes and other times... not as good...

This was one of the good times... When i was on half day leave some of my friends and i after duty will come over to chill out and dine at Long Johns silver.... haha

This place was a standard routine if i ever took off after duty.

Most times i would order the standard golden deal 2 which would consist of the 1 pc fish, 1 pc chicken and fries... as for the sides, i would usually order extra rice as the night before i wouldnt have anything much to eat. so yea i usually get that..

The service staff is very prompt and very attentive.. Clean environment and back then as a NSF... I would spend around $6 or slightly more because of the rice.

Hot chocolate and carrot cake Smile Mar 26, 2013

What could it be such that 2 of the perfect combination are put together in my opinion..

After lunch, i headed to the coffee bean and tea leaf at 313 to have some dessert..

This day was to be prolific because it was the first time i think that i ever and i mean eeeeeeevvvveeerrrr tried coffee bean. This was quite fantastic for me as it was my first time trying out this..

Hmm i ordered the carrot cake... It was a delightful piece of cake and i cant find another place that may be the same.. It was semi sweet with a nice cream layer... Then the hot hot chocolate... Now why i say hot hot... its because it is hot hot... It wasnt very sweet... it was nice and slightly bitter...

The service was quite good... a very prompt response for their service and i paid something like $15 for both items.. Makes me feel like i wanna make my own carrot cake...

Late night supper OK Mar 26, 2013

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Chinese Soup

There are many different Bak Kut Teh stalls in Balestier... Some more popular than the other but... that doesnt mean that the other stalls suck... In fact another one of the better stalls is actually the closest Bak Kut Teh stall which is around 15 mins away.

A set would cost around $7- $10 per set depending on what you order...

For example... I usually will order the pork soup which is refillable... the rice and maybe the preserved vegetable but not too much of this because i seriously cant stand the taste for too much....

Overall this place speaks a little English which is actually OK, else i will be forced to use mu extremely talented chinese speaking skills... ehem..

So this is another good place to have a nice supper when you are hungry at night...

After you club on a friday night and once you have had to send 2 drunk friends home whom you try to help is screaming... arghh pain pain...

You have to head to Adams corner... It is a place where a lot of people head over for their supper after a dancing night... My friends and i decided to dine there...

Each of us had a bowl of kambing soup in silence with some bread... This was due to the events that had taken place earlier.

A small coffee shop with a large sitting space... this shop offers a lot of dishes... The best i would say is maggi goreng ikan bilis with egg... It is unique in such a sense the taste is very different personally...

That night... it was raining... it was cold... and all we wanted was some simple soup.. It was too awesome... A quiet night... cold and evidently a wet shirt... kambing soup fills you up...

I paid $15 for the soup with one teh tarik... hmm simple.. all my 3 friends were broke and some had a little cash so i had to do the honors...

Put it at that... like i always said... you can never really fool an indian muslim person who could take order.... so as said... they memorize your orders by heart...

Will be back here as long as i club...

Krakatoa OK Mar 25, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Ramen | Kids-Friendly

In case you are wondering what Krakotoa is... It is actually a volcano a that erupted i think in 1888 or something... I was never fond of Japanese Food especially if its a cold dish... to me it is just not my kind of thing... It may be steak for some of you but it could be also be potatoes for some. There was this stall back awhile ago that i ate and i cant forget...

Anyways... just to make it clear... Ramen is probably the only japanese food that i will actually consume... I tried the volcano ramen if i remember correctly coz of the spice... It was a little bit spicy... though its put as volcano... but i guess i was fine with that... Not much complains with the surroundings but being a big sized guy, i would maybe require a bigger stool... One thing to comment though is that the egg is really nice....
