Jack Daniel's Burger OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : Fusion | Restaurant

T.G.I.F is popular for its ribs and steak, but I was craving for some megaburger on this occasion. I ordered the Jack Daniel's burger since the Jack Daniel Sirloin taste good.

The burger was huge but I think it is slightly smaller than the one at Swensen. It comes with fries and Jack Daniel's sauce. The fries are big and crispy. The sauce is sweet and it tastes like the sweet sauce of Soon Kueh which is kind of funny when I mentioned it to my friends. On the first few try, the sauce tastes good, but after a while the liking for the sauce is gone.

I was disappointed with the beef patty as it appears to be overcooked for me so it does not taste as succulent and tender. There were onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon in the burger. This is a filling lunch but not a fantastic one at least for me.

Spending per head: Approximately $20.80(Lunch)

Mango Pomelo Sago OK Oct 22, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Stall / Kiosk | Desserts and Cakes

This dessert stall serves quite a variety of dessert. It also sells mango pomelo sago which is one of my favourite desserts so decided to see the quality.

I was sceptical of the taste when i saw how it was prepared. The dessert was taken out from the fridge and chipped ice was just added. Upon tasting, it still has the refreshing taste and the serving of mango was pretty generous. Importantly, I think the dessert is not very sweet.

I was there quite late in the night perhaps it was closing hence the preparation was not the standard way.

Cheesy Bite Treats Smile Oct 22, 2011

Categories : Pasta | Halal

Judging from the advertisements of Cheesy Bite Treats, it looks delicious so decided to give it a try for dinner. As a lover of Hawaiian pizza, I picked this flavour. The pizza was adorned with cheese sticks and chicken dogs on the side which makes it difficult to cut actually. However, I think it is pretty creative to add cornflakes to the pizza and the combination turns out to be good. If you think the pizza is not cheesy enough, it actually comes with additional nachos cheese. This meal actually turns out to be a very cheesy one which is nice but too much of it actually will make one sick of it. I think the crust of the pizza is good as it is soft so does not work your jaw too much.

One bad thing about the outlet is the cleanliness of the cutlery which was not very clean.

Red Bean Pancake Smile Aug 30, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre

The pancake is soft, not overly starchy and has a light sweetness which makes it very tasty. Further, the edges are also crispy which makes it a joy to eat. The red bean filling is thick and the sweetness is just right. The red bean paste is evenly spread across the pancake and you could taste some red bean grains too. This is a good snack to go with coffee or soya milk.

Cheng Teng Smile Aug 30, 2011

Categories : Hawker Centre | Desserts and Cakes

Cheng Teng is a common dessert in Singapore which is known to dispel heatiness. This dessert can be served hot or cold depending on individual liking. I loved the cold ones due to the hot weather in Singapore. In the dessert, one can find dried longan, barley, lotus seed, white fungus, gingko and Pang Da Hai. There are lots of ingredients in it which made it one of my favourite dessert. The one from this stall is not sweet and has a nice pandan leaves aroma.
