Alluring Sea View Smile Nov 06, 2012

As the name goes, it is a blissful moment to be having dinner and watching the sunset at the same time, by the sea. Even though it is situated at Changi Beach club, you need not have to be a member to visit the restaurant. In order to catch the sunset, i would recommend to reach around 6plus, when the restaurant has just opened; since you can get the staff attention easily and catch the alluring sea view!

Service is really good- since we reached early, we have a manager serving us! She was patient and gave us good advice and recommendation- we wanted to try the in house special crispy fried duck but she advised us not to take that since she was worried that it might be too big for the two of us. Luckily we heeded her advice since we saw the next table of eight ordering that and the portion is really huge!

Other than the amazing sea view, the restaurant really serves good Chinese cruise- Canton style. We had pork ribs, vegetables and stewed toufu with seafood. Even though we had requested for a small portion size, the serving was generous and I felt really full after that. The price was fairly reasonable- 10+ per person ( given 3 dishes only). I will definitely visit this place again and try their seafood!!lollollol

My friend who is a vegetarian had strongly recommended this place to me. When we reached, it's around 1 plus 2 and a lot of the set meals are all sold out- Business is really good! Therefore we had to settle for the spaghetti Nepoletana. I simply adore the generous serving of the noodles and the vegetables! Check out our empty plates! One thing that one has to try is their CHEESECAKE!!!! They have a few flavours and I am lucky to be able to get the last blueberry cheesecakelol We also had a side-dish which is really delicious!

The staff are so friendly and helpful and the price are really reasonable as well. I will definitely come back another time!

Terriyaki Chicken set @ Just Acia OK Nov 05, 2012

Teriyaki Chicken set

Teriyaki Chicken set

This is the place to go if u want to have free flow of drinks and ice-cream and a relatively reasonable set meal in the city. My friends simply adored this place for these reasons and I really think that it is worth the price if you are a big eater- to 'exploit' the free flow of drinks and ice-cream. It can be pretty crowded, especially dinner time, even on weekdays, hence my advice would be to try to reach there earlier.

For food, I wouldn't say that it is fantastic- the terriyaki chicken set was pretty average- chicken with terriyaki sauce and I find the sauce a tad too salty for my liking. The drinks you get there are pretty common- cola, ice lemon tea, tea, coffee etc and I personally not quite like the ice cream over there- the flavours you can get are the typically vanilla, chocolate, strawberry etc. At least the set meal portion for me is reasonable and satisfactory but if you can fork out a bit more money, I would suggest you to go somewhere else for better food.

I went to eat for the first time with my three friends. My friend had went there before with his girlfriend and he had strongly reccommended the place. It was 7pm and becasue it was on a weekday night, the restaurant was not very packed and we were able to get a seat quickly, I really like the ambience of the place given that the interior decor reminded me of an old English Caste. The 4 of us decided to go for The Knight Lancelot. Even though the reccomended serving size was for 2-3 person but the 4 of us decideed to share it since the friend who had been there before warned us of the huge portion size. We were lucky to heed his advice as the portion was really huge. Since I do not like to eat lamb, we requested to change it and thus the grilled fish was given as a replacement. We had a garden salad, grilled fish, BBQ chicken and pork and pork tepas and not forgetting baked potatos. It was really a hearty meal and after splitting the bill it was around 10 dollars + per persoafter the inclusion of service and GST chargesn- totally worth the price if you are to share with your buddies!lol

Chendol shaved ice

Chendol shaved ice

This is my 3rd time visiting this stall and I never failed to order this chendol shaved ice. Even though it sells hot desserts as well such as sesame paste or peanut paste but this is always my favourite. I tried the green tea shaved ice on my second time there and I still think that it pales in comparison to the chendol shaved ice- you have to add the gula melaka (its sweet) to give the dish a more robust flavour as it complements perfectly with the snow-like icelol Definitely worth a trip down though I would think that the price is a little steep
