I never knew that there lies such a famous dimsum place at Sunshine Plaza- a popular hangout for students from the nearby NAFA till my friend's recommendation. I never knew that there lies such a famous dimsum place at Sunshine Plaza- a popular hangout for students from the nearby NAFA till my friend's recommendation. I did a quick search and was excited as I read about the rave reviews on this place! I arrived at around 1215pm, expecting a huge queue since I had read about the limited number of seats, therefore I was really glad to be able to find a table for 4 so quickly. My friend quickly ordered while waiting for my other friends since I was told that the food will take quite sometime to be served. She is right- we waited for around 20minutes before the piping hot dim sum was served to our table. Generally, despite the peak lunch hour, service was good- it was efficient as the tables were cleaned asap and the ladyboss( I think) was busy serving the customers who had already formed a queue by 1pm. The ambiance of the place really reminded me of the busy hongkong cafes with the hustle and bustle as well as the injections of Cantonese.

The salted egg lava bun was really great though I find that the price was quite steep ( the price was increased to 4 dollars from 3.50 for 3) and the other dim sum like the siew mai, charsiew buns and the carrot cake were awesome as well. For the four of us, we ordered about 7 items with the in house special drink and each of us paid around 12.60 each. This is fairly reasonable since it was an hearty meal hence I would strongly recommend to go over with group of friends though one will have to be early to beat the lunch crowd! Thumbs up!:ma
