Recently the restaurant has started offering breakfast menu during weekends and public holidays from 8am to 12pm. We arrived at the restaurant at about 11am. The place was not crowded. Instead of the usual indoor dining area, the staffs showed us to the outdoor dining area. The indoor dining area was empty except for a couple who were waiting for the lunch menu to start. Seem that everyone who were having breakfast, were given outdoor tables.

Interestingly the tables were decorated with a sunflower each. We waited at least 30 minutes for our orders to arrive. We almost finished the first item, when the second one finally arrived. Quite a long wait for the food. It seems that it happened to all other customers too.

Eggs Benedict
($12.95++)
Start your day right with a hearty platter for 2, with prefectly poached eggs on top of crispy turkey bacon, melted cheddar cheese and oregano buns, grilled snail sausage, mini cheesy hash browns and fluffy pancakes with maple syrup.
Could not taste any cheese in the hash brown and it was lacking of crispy crust. The pancake was not fluffy, even the little one gave after a couple of mouthfuls.

Salmon 'N Mushroom Sandwich ($8.95++)
Smoked salmon and sauteed mushrooms sandwiched between oregano buns makes for a light and healthy breakfast, complete with a poached egg in a crunchy tortilla bowl.
The tortilla bowl was quite hard.

Big Brekkie Delight
($9.95++)
Banish hunger pangs with this delectable breakfast of Cherry Snapper fillets (fried or grilled - your choice!), scrambled eggs, mini cheesy hash browns, sauteed button mushrooms in a torilla bowl and thick toasts!
It was quite hard to slice the not crispy toast with fish knife.

Berry Happy Pancake
($7.95++)
Put a smile on your face with layers of thick pancakes oozing with the goodness of Nutella! Complemented with strawberry, banana, oreo crumbles and served with maple syrup on the side.
Just for Nutella lovers.

Nutella & Banana French Toast
($4.95++)
French toast is layered with Nutella and banana slices to satisfy your sweet tooth and give you an energy boost in the morning
It more like pressed sandwich than french toast. Not what I was expecting.

Glory Fish Tower
($7.95++)
Built with signature hand-battered fish fillet, crispy Onion Glory, lettuce and topped with thick toasts, it is a glorious feast that awaits your conquest.
Waited the longest for this to be served. As same as other dish, it was difficult to cut through the toast with just fish knife. The ring slice was light and crispy. The fish was a tab mushy inside.

Chamomile tea ($2++)
Served with maple syrup
Yes I was surprised.

Overall disappointed that the food had taken quite long to be served. Not the correct cutlery being served.

Craving for lobster over the weekend & MFFM had what I wanted - Lobster Feast!
2 of us ordered Grilled Flaming Lobster Platter plus Supreme Catch ($8.90) which includes Chowder & a beverage.
Seafood Chowder was on the menu that day, it was good but not piping hot.
For the beverage, Melon Breeze was the choice.
Refreshing & unique taste! A lil' sweet for me but still alright.
Last but not least, the main: Lobster Platter 😋
Lobster meat a lil' chewy but had a great taste! The flamed sweet sauce on the lobster went well with the rice too, n0mn0mn0m.
Fried Calamari, Garlic Herb Mussels & Fish Fingers weren't too bad either.
The fries were a disappointment though, not hot & crispy, a lil' hard to bite too.
0verall a great dining experience esp when the l0bster crave is satisfied 😁

The spicy sour sauce and lemon that came with it were also pleasantly helpful in enhancing the overall flavour of the dish.

Signature Flaming Prawns, the way of serving was bound to catch the attention of all. Using mini-blow torch, the staff burnt against the prawns. They were fresh, the shell was easily peeled off. Giant portion, it was satisfying and I was extremely full after having it. Grilled Dory Fillet was delectable awesome in both taste and texture. Veggies, Fries and Rice were all in good presentation. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience.

The fries given were few and insufficient for a fries lover like me, however, I won't complain about that considering the price of this Fish and Chips. The size of the Fish was acceptable although it was pretty oily. The outer layer of the fish was only slightly crispy, it will turn soggy pretty quickly under air conditioned areas. The meat was tender, however, it was pretty dry even after dipping with sauces.

Overall it's still worth buying as the taste of the food worth the price of it.

Grilled Glory Dory ($3.99++)
We order 2 of this and both look equally flat. Well cooked vegetables.

The main courses taste average, but the servings are smaller than usual and served in paper boxes.
Somehow feel like eating in a fast food restaurant. Maybe because of the way the food is served. And there is no free flow of iced water. No free sweets after paying the bill.
Total amount (including 2 top-up) : $30.25.

Regular Dory Fish & Chip ($10.90). Classic deep fried battered fish serve with MFM's signature garlic herb sauce. At least that's what they claim. If you have to ask me, there's isn't anything special about the sauce. Chance upon their menu, you might realize that they serve regular or light. If you're baffled like some of my friends were, it's just the difference in portion. In the case of fish & chips, it means having either two pieces or one miserable piece.

How do I know it's miserable?

Fiery Snapper & Mussels ($13.90) When I saw the photo in the menu, the snapper filets were bright redish brown but here, I am confronted by over-grilled filets... At least the mussels save the day... As least that's what my friend say.

Regular Grilled Catch of the Day, Dory ($12.90). I would agree to their statement they made...

There's nothing quite like it...

Indeed there's nothing quite like it. I meant it in a not so good way. Again, the filet was over-cooked! It's dry and it's tough. The only saving grace for this is the size of the filet.

Our total bill for five individuals was a mere $40.32. Those vouchers sure come in handy! I have several bad experiences at Plaza Singapura's outlet. From the constant rationales I gave to myself that they are still catching my fish, hence the long wait. To the rude and impatient staffs who seems disinterested in the customers they serve so much so that I ceased to patronize MFM for almost a year!

I am in the opinion that you aren't just providing food for your customers to satisfy their hunger. It's goes way deeper than that. It's about feeding your hungry customers, ensuring they enjoy their meals through both the food and services...

The outlet at Northpoint did it well. The staffs were willing to answer our questions and they were more attentive, refilling our cups even before they were emptied.

Fishermen's Platter
Delight in a crispy whole barramundi covered in savory spicy seafood dip, accompanied by the delicious Manhattan Flaming Prawns, Garlic Herb mussels and crispy white baits.
The fish looks very crispy but is meaty and juicy inside. The crispy white baits is a very addictive dish. Overall feels it is a very well valued for money dish with so many varieties.
