I had an executive lunch at a Chinese restaurant. It was a 6-course dinner. The restaurant setting was quiet as I had lunch at a private room.

The first course was the doubled boiled chicken soup in fresh ginseng. The soup was clear and refreshing. It had a strong smell of ginseng which made the soup very refreshing. The soup was boiled with breast chicken.

The second dish was the marinated salted chicken. I was rather disappointed to see chicken again as I just had a chicken soup and the second dish was chicken again!. Never mind, just hope that the chicken would be surprising. However, it turned out to be disappointment as it was worst that Hainanese chicken. The chicken portion offered to me was wing portion and I had no meat to enjoy.

The third course was vegetable. The portion had already allocated in individual serving. This time, it was Prawn with Pepper and Cashew Nuts. The prawn was shelfless. It suspected that the prawn was frozen and not fresh prawn.

The fried rice with diced seafood wrapped in Lotus leaf was the satisfying dish. The fried rice was wrapped with lotus leaf which made the rice smell strong and aromatic. The diced seafood had nothing to be seen by the time it was cooked. It was as good as dissolved with the fried rice.
The last course was the dessert, chilled aloe Vera Dessert Topped with Fresh Fruit. It was a colourful dessert with the cut mango and fresh fruit. The dessert was watery.

The waitress was very fast in serving.

The portion was a bit horrifying, I never expect it was so huge. Beneath the crusty duck skin, there was a good balance of fat and lean meat. I am not the fan of duck actually, but still find it acceptable. Little of fatty layer, it was juicy and tender.
Too bad that my camera was out of battery, I failed to capture the Dim Sum there. We ordered Steamed Prawn Dumpling, which was $4.40 for 4. Well-done with fresh shrimp and a thin transparent layer outside, it was decent. The other one was Steamed Custard Buns, pretty good rendition with creamy gravy burst out. It priced at $3.60 for 3. Also the BBQ Pork Pastry, $3.30 for 3, Crunchy skin was served along with the yummy grilled sweet flavourful pork fillings. All of them were absolutely value-for-money. By now, I understand why the restaurant was always packed.

I always love dim sum but it's been quite long since my last visit to Imperial Treasure so when my brother organized to meet up for dim sum recently, i was very happy! I only took one picture for the this whole dim sum but i try to do a rough description. But the only picture i took is for the custard bun and it's so GOOD! Skin is fluffy soft and the filling has the right balance of salted egg york taste in it. Super shiok!

For the rest of the dim sum, we had a good mixture of the usual items and it's generally good. Price is reasonable too. For 5 pax, we spent slightly less than $100.

It's definitely a restaurant i be back for the good dim sum, reasonable pricing, good service! And after the meal, it's a nice place too to walk around to digest off all the yummy food =)

Visited this outlet over Chinese New Year. One of the dishes we had was the braised abalone with oyster and black moss. The dish was tasty with the abalone being tender and soft and delicious from absorbing the thick braising sauce. The oyster was really special as I have never eaten oysters stuffed with filling before. An interesting dish worth trying, but a negative point is the super high prices!

Went to the GWC branch for brunch with my friends. The worst service i have ever encountered in Imperial Treasure, and we have vowed never to be back

I made a reservation for 10 one week in advance and was forced to select a time slot. If i didnt recall wrongly it was between 9am, 11am or 145pm. I picked 145pm.

1) Got there at 130pm, table not ready. 145pm came and went. At 205pm, they said that they tried to chase the previous table, they have settled the bill but are not leaving. MAYBE another 10 mins. They made us reserve and choose a time slot, then wait 30 mins for a table?
We were quite mad and there was no other option around for a table of 10 so we waited.

2) at 225pm we were finally seated. bad news: 40% of the items were sold out. we were there for dim sum and 40% of the selection were sold out?! didnt you expect a table of 10 to come at 145pm?

we made our orders. they took it, then every 2 mins came back to report that there were more items out of stock. Horrors.
3) at 235pm they informed us it's the last order. Only a few items were served. 10 mins after i sat down, it's the last order! gosh.

this is the worst experience ever. we were made to repeat orders of "leftover" items that were still available...

Good service, good environment and good food. The price is slightly expensive as compared to outside. We've tried their papaya white fungus soup. As shown in the picture, the soup is so thick and not oily at all. Feel very refreshing after having it. Worth it!We also ordered their mixed roasted meat. It's expensive but taste good. Overall dining experience is good.

We were a little weary of always having to travel to Changi Airport to eat at Imperial Treasure Cantonese so decided to give the other outlet at Great World City a shot, seeing that it was nearer to us.

Located in a corner on the 2nd floor of Great World City, it honestly didn't ooze as much finesse as its cousin in Changi in my humble opinion. And being a Sunday afternoon, it was packed so reservations are highly recommended.

Roasted Pork - What was to have been the highlight of our meal fell short of expectations with an overdose of fat meat. It was literally 50% fat, 50% meat. Sure, the skin was crisp with nary a hint of salt but did seem a little too thick for my liking. Portions were ridiculously tiny as well.

Shark Bone Soup with Fish Maw - Aside from the crunchy pieces of fish maw, I couldn't find any reason to like this soup. It was a little too coagulated which left an uncomfortable residue on the tongue and it lacked any oomph. So disappointing that I gave up after a few mouthfuls.

Deep Fried Beancurd Skin - The beancurd skin was light and crisp with a nice smooth filling of prawn paste. However, it was drenched in oil which did come across as quite a turn off honestly.

Roasted Goose - I was eagerly anticipating this dish as my previous experiences with it had been nothing short of excellent. Alas, it wasn't as good as we envisioned it to be. To be fair, the roast goose here was meaty with a thin layer of crisp skin sans the overwhelming foul taste. However, the meat was a little too dry, which marred the experience a little.

Steamed Minced Pork Dumpling - It's the first time I'm having xiao long bao at Imperial Treasure and I must say that its really quite decent. Smooth and silky skin enveloping a generous amount of stock and a pork filling that was fairly mild on the hog taste. Just watch out for the high salt content.

Deep Fried Pig's Intestines - I am a big fan of deep fried pig intestines so naturally I was delighted to see it on the menu. However delight turned to disappointment when I realised that the intestines were a little too oily and tasteless. The crisp exterior did nothing to salvage this dish.

BBQ Pork Pastry - Flaky but lacking the buttery goodness that I personally like. The char siew filling wasn't sweet or starchy though.

Bo Lo Bao - Another disappointment, the bo lo bao had a crusty top with a chewy and soft base. However, the fragrance was sorely lacking and the char siew filling was rather bland.

Claypot Goose Web - The claypot goose web was the only dish which I thought was comparable to what I had at the Changi Airport outlet previously. Done up Thai style, the vermicelli was very flavourful with a rather heavy dose of Szechuan and black pepper for good measure. Not recommended if you are allergic to too much oil and salt though.

Fried Kailan - How bad can stir fried vegetables get? Flavoured with a light touch of salt without being overcooked. Nice and simple.

Steamed Custard Bun - Soft and fluffy bun coupled with salty sweet custard egg yolk filling - very good. Pity about the lack of yolk sediment though.

Durian Pudding - Too coagulated was the first thing that hit me as I sampled a spoonful of what I had expected to be a delightful ending to our lunch. The whole pudding felt stiff and overly sweet. Thankfully the durian taste was still quite prominent. Palatable but not very nice.

A rather disappointing lunch cost us just shy of $285 for 5 pax, which was definitely not worth the money in my humble opinion. The disparity between the food quality at the Changi Airport outlet and the Great World City outlet is just too huge to ignore and I really wonder why. Nonetheless, moving forward, I'll definitely be giving Imperial Treasure Great World City a miss.
