To start off our meal, crackers and acar will always be served.

Set B for 2 @ S$58++
Seafood - Curry Fish Head
Vegetable - Chap Chye
Other Specialties - Ngo Hiang, Otak Otak
Dessert- Dessert of the Day

Curry Fish Head
Their popular item. Ingredients used are fresh and the gravy is thick. It's not very spicy but if you can't take spicy stuff then you can take less of the gravy.

Chap Chye
Vegetables and mushrooms are cooked till soften. The vermicelli fully absorbs the flavour of the gravy. A very tasty dish.

Ngo Hiang
One of the best that I have tasted. It's fried till crispy and golden brown in colour. The texture and taste makes me feel this is the closest to the authentic version.

Otak Otak
Taste is not bad but no wow factor. A little spicy though.

Sago Gula Melaka
The cold dessert of the day. Strong gula melaka taste with loads of sago.

Puloh Hitam
Piping hot! Smooth texture and not too sweet. I like this despite the fact that I am not a puloh hitam fan.

Slow service and waiting time, food doesnt look appetising at first, fish head curry werent up to standard, all food portions were small, only the free flow of rice make up my have filled stomach. However their peranakan specialty : Nonya chap chye did brilliant, couldnt find else where that makes this zestful chap chye, if isnt for this dish i wouldnt come back for second serving

Shopping around Vivocity and saw a new Nyonya restaurant... Spicy food, wow, I like! They were quite fast in their service. The fish head is like their signature dish of the restaurant. I looked around at all the diners in the restaurant, all of them ordered this particular dish. Worth giving it a try. The assam curry was a little too spicy for me and my boyfriend. But, to all other hardcore chilli lovers, it tastes superb.

The appetizers the restaurant staffs served us were a small tray of prawn crackers and ah jak (mixed cucumber, carrots with chilli sauce, served cold).

The front cover of the menu. Think that it is rather special. Snap a picture of it.

Ordered chinese tea for myself. Proved that it relieves the spiciness better than grass jelly. Haha!

The fish head was rather small. Lucky it was for 2 of us only. Within it, there are brinjal, long beans, tau pok.

I enjoyed the food there, this restaurant can be considered one of the authentic nyonya food in Singapore. Will be back here again to try their chay chye, ngoh hiang, desserts, nyonya kuehs and so many more...

This is the Assam fish head curry. The taste is slightly different from the usual curry fish head. It's less tart and richer in flavour. The fish was quite fresh and the veggies were generous but not very memorable. I mainly remember the sauce was quite thick and good with rice but nothing that I would find particularly special. This is the ayam buah keulak and it's chicken cook with a special black nut. The nut was quite special and you can scrap out the filling to eat with your rice. Overall

I especially liked the assam fish head curry, chilli kangkong, babi ponteh and crayfish! All the dishes were very tasty and tasted like original peranakan food. The babi ponteh gravy was thick and well-seasoned and I found myself drizzling the sauce over my rice over and over again. The crayfish was succulent and tasty! Pity we had to limit ourselves to only one crayfish each.

The bakwan soup had very light taste and some might even find it too bland. I feel that it was a refreshing change from the other largely gravy heavy dishes. The bamboo shoots and meat ball in the soup were nice too.

Overall 8.5/10
Highly recommended!

the babi pongteh was a killer! it is so good, the gravy is thick and very tasty. the mushroom absorbs the delicious gravy. the pork is cooked till it is so soft. indeed a must try.

the nyonya chap chye is a mouth-watering dish. the vegetables are cooked till they are so easy to chew, ideal dish for elderly or young children. the black fungus is so crunchy, together with the dong fen, yummy!

the assam fish head is really shiok! sour and spicy at the same time. the fish is very fresh and sweet. the pineapple and lady's fingers adds a little something to the dish.

the service is really good, the waitress is very polite. the price is very pricey but indeed worth the money!
