The best ramen restaurant in Singapore in my opinion and maybe for other people too. The food are top qualities even though the price are a bit high. Must try dishes are the Akamaru Ramen for a tasty treat that melts in your mouth. Drink the broth till the last drop cause it has undergone 24 hour brewing. i went with my parents to ippudo. i could not decide what to order so i opted for one of their signature dish the akamaru. it was really good, the soup was so tasty, never have i drank so tasty soup before. the ingredients were cooked nicely as well.however on the down side, it was a little oily, but for such nice bowl of food, i really think it is worth it. my parents could agree more with me.…查看更多

Visiting Ippudo SG at mandarin gallery again with hubby this time! Both of us ordered the Karakamen with add-on Char Siu. They add in a flavoured egg for us too even though we didn't order it! anyway it's ok.As i'm quite addicted to their soup, i almost finished the whole bowl of spicy soup! Actually they do have more spicy soup ramen but i dare not try as i seldom take spicy food. They put in some dice meat in the soup as well which was quite nice. But i still prefer the char siu as it's so tender and juicy.do avoid peak hours i.e 7pm-8pm to avoid long queue! even though we were there at 6.30pm, we still have to queue for half an hour! but it's definitely worth the wait! service is very good and everytime there's customers coming in, they will said in japanese " welcome" ! feel so pampered... :)…查看更多

Had dinner at ippudo SG on my own today. Ordered a plain karakamen without any add-ons like char siu or flavoured eggs. And an organic saladTheir karakamen is my all time favourite with a bit of spicy taste in the mouth-watering soup. After drinking their soup, it's like i'm addicted to it! super yummy! Their organic salad is tasty! My boyfriend's brother recommended this place for its delicious, good quality ramen thus we decided to drop by the outlet!There was a long queue forming outside the shop when we reached and we had to wait for almost half an hour to be seated!Service was not bad, considering that it was super full housed, we still managed to get the attention we needed.All 4 of us ordered the akamaru ramen, which my boyfriend's brother says is a must try at Ippudo. It turned out great! The broth was deliciously tasty, and the pork was cooked in the way that the fats were caramelized and melts in your mouth! We also ordered the gyoza which was pretty alright. My Hubby is a ramen fan. He heard from his friend that Ippudo opened in singapore at Mandrain Gallery. My hubby is telling me that we must go and try out as his friends all say the ramen is super good. The ambience is not bad and i saw comic on the wall, quite a interesting way to present it. My sister got her first pay and she treated the whole family to ippudo are marina gallery. As I had not been there before, it was a little excited. When we entered the restaurant, it layout was really nice and comfy. The food was also really good. I ordered their specialty Shiromaru Motoaji. In simple, cha siew ramen. The soup was really delicious, it is their special tonkotsu soup. Really tasty, thick and not too salty. The noodles are very thin and fine. Smooth as well. Love the feeling of it sliding my throat! My friends and I went to Ippudo to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The food there is simply delicious. I ordered the ala carte bakuretsu curry tofu. It was a killer. It was the nicest Japanese curry I have eaten! The dish is served in a stone pot with minced meat and curry tofu. Ever since I've been eating Ramen in Tokyo, Japan (2009), I have fall into Japanese Ramen, especially the soup, really 'thicky' and feel so good. Specially in winter, drinking the hot soup like being in the heaven. I travel to Signapore quite often, but most of the time, I do my shopping in Orchard. Last July, I stayed in the Madarin Orchard, and found 'Ippudo' Japanese restaurant in the Mandarin Gallery. Had been to Ippudo twice. The first time was a great experience, felt like it's worth the long wait~ Most of us ordered the Akamaru Ramen & it's great! Mine is with the 3-layer-meat & the fats doesn't taste like fats, it just melt into your mouth (oh I'm missing it!), the soft-heart egg was addictive~ We like the comic environment alot but the bad thing is we gotta share table with other ppl... Service was pretty good, the friendly Japanese staff chatted with us when we tried to talk jap with him ;) But most of the time they are too busy to attend to our requests promptly... Overall the experience made us wanna come for a second time.However when we came again 2 months ago, it doesn't taste as great as the first time, like the other openricer's comment, only the egg was impressive. I've been hearing so much good reviews about this restaurant so decided to meet a friend for lunch there on a Saturday. We met at 11.50am so as to avoid the lunchtime queue, & was glad we did as from 12pm the crowd started to stream in!Prices start from $15++ for a bowl of Ippudo ramen. I ordered the 1st ramen on the menu called Shiromaru Motoaji, basically it is a bowl of thin noodles served with1 slice of Rosu Chasu (Pork Loin), cabbage & kikurage. I made a special request not to add spring onions. According to the menu, this is Hakata-style ramen. The portion wasn't very big, possibly jus nice for ladies. But I was a bit surprised cos I thought traditional Japanese style usu serve big soup portions? Anyway, not sure if it is cos of too many good reviews I heard, aft taking the 1st sip of the soup, I thought it was just ok only. Nothing so marvellous abt it. Yes the soup base is very tasty, but then it had some ginger taste in it (I'm not a fan of ginger though I dun hate it). But the fact tat there was only 1 pc of chasu & I was paying $15++ for it didn't make me feel good. There was no other ingredients except for some shreds of cabbage & the kikurage. My friend ordered the Karaka-Men with an extra topping of an egg (Tamago) ($17++, Tamago $2++). It's original pork broth with special spicy miso & ground pork. It looked very spicy / red & he said it was good & delicious.The iced green tea which we ordered cost $3++ each, is a very small glass of sugarless green tea, exactly like the hot green tea u drink in Japanese restaurants, with ice that's all.If u ask me whether I would eagerly want to visit this restaurant again, I'm afraid no. I think there are other equally nice Japanese ramen restaurants with cheaper prices too. :(famous for its long queue and supposedly good ramen, this place is a letdown. The wait was horrible and the food does not justify the waiting time. The soup was not tasty enough. Noodles, though I ordered soft, tasted just like wanton noodles.The $2 egg was pretty good though. Dessert - we had the cheesecake and cream puffs, totally nothing to rave about.
