It's been awhile since I've last been to Ya kun. I usually prefer to have Teh and Kopi at the coffee shop at heartland areas rather than pay extra for Ya kun.. But today I was at NUS and decided to give Ya kun a go.It had ample cushion seating and there was a long line for breakfast at 840am on a weekday.Ordered a typical softee boiled egg set.Teh is mandatory for me to start my day and I like it siew dai. Ordered a typical softee boiled egg set.
Teh is mandatory for me to start my day and I like it siew dai. This was definitely siew Dai as it wasn't sweet but yet I could feel the caffeine kick into my brain! So 5 stars there for a good awakening drink!
I got the traditional steamed butter kaya bread as well.
My colleague also had the traditional kaya toast with iced milo.
My tried the laksa for $5.50 which I was surprised to see it being served in such a huge bowl with a lot of prawns! Value for money indeed!
Here was my bill for my breakfast today. A lot more than what I would spend normally but still quite a hearty and fulfilling breakfast!
