located in the heart of ang mo kio central is this hawker centre. There is only one stall selking fried kway teow, so you cannot miss it!this is the $3, there was quite a lot of crispy lard and the wok hei was very strong. Nowadays, with everyone watching their waistlines, and hawkers trying to be more muslim friendly, alot of these stalls tend to avoid using lard. But this shop is still very generous with lard and hence the Fried Kway Teow tastes very authentic. 繼續閱讀

This stall has been here for many years, I've had it since I was young. Over the years, it has evolved to include more vegetables, which is a good move. I was happy that the stall owner obliged when I requested for more vegetables and did not charge me extra. The fried kway teow here is cooked with pork lard - which contributes to its fragrance. It's also not too dry and oily. The amount of ingredients is generous too. A satisfying plate of fried kway teow which I'll always order when I'm at this food centre. 繼續閱讀

I made a beeline for my tasty -and- trusty char kway teow stall for an order with extra vegetables. I carried my plate of char kway teow heaven back to the table bursting with pride. "Try this!" I couldn't stop smiling. As if I was the cook. Well, a girl could dream right? Mmm. Kway the way it should be done. Full of wok hei. It was the difference of heaven and hell for these two types of kways. I know it's unfair to be comparing a plate of lard fried kway teow with kway chap but honestly, this kway was the right way to go. really have to stop it with the puns. They are unintended by the way.Full bodied taste. Fried slightly wet just the way I like it. Crispy bits of lard, a small offering of blood clams, slices of waxed sausages and the only healthy items of beansprouts and greens. If there's anything worth the extra calories. This. Is it. $3 for a plate of comfort. 繼續閱讀

This is one of the longest surviving stalls in this food centre. I had eaten their fried kway teow countless times and most of the times it was good but at times it can be quite inconsistent. The kway teow and mee were fried well with ingredients like chinese sausage, fishcake, bean sprouts and cockles. The texture was quite moist but not overly wet. It served with nice fragrant with a distinctive wok taste. Fried pork lards were added to enhance the taste. 繼續閱讀

If you like those big juicy cockles in you fried KWAY TEOW, the one sold here will fulfill your requirement. The KWAY TEOW noodles here is very chewy and with lots of the dark sweet sauce fragrant in it. Lots of beansprouts, Chye sim are also added in it which make it really crunchy during your mouthful of it. The portion is quite a lot and good to feed two adults. Usually dinner hour is quite crowded here, so do be there early to avoid the long queues. 繼續閱讀
