DessertStory has about 6 outlets in Singapore : Hougang Mall, Tiong Bahru Plaza, Junction 8, NEX, Northpoint and Sun Plaza. It offers traditional chinese style dessert pastes, hot and cold dessert soups, snow ice and savoury snacks. We were looking for something cooling after walking. Spotted Dessert Story, we made our way towards it. Basic and simple layout of the kiosk, the choices provided was considered appropriate. Preparation time was quick, we get our order within 5 minutes. Mouth-watering appearance did surprise me, they were attractive. Mango for me and Chocolate for him, we shared it actually. Tried this Mango Snow Ice - $4.50 at Dessert Story and there were many other flavours other than the mango flavour. It is suitable to have this dessert in such humid weather in Singapore.The mango flavour ice was soft and it melted immediately after it was put inside my mouth. It was very different from those ice in Ice Kachang which is slightly harder and more crunchy. There were many small cubes of mango on top of the mango snow ice to further enhance the flavour although they were slightly so

After dinner, decide to get some dessert.Durian Pengat ($3.50)It looks a ball of shaved ice, topped with durian pulp, coconut milk and gula melaka. I am a bit disappointed as it looks to be more shaved ice and the grade of durian used is just average.Almond Paste ($2.80)Some believe that eating almond paste will cure sore throat. As my throat is not feeling too good, I decide to have one. The texture is not as smooth as I prefer.

Mango Snow Ice ($4.20)The shaved ice is much finer than the usual found in dessert stalls. The mango chunks on top is juicy and sweet. It is a very refreshing and delicious dessert.Black Sesame Paste ($2.80)The paste is very smooth as it glides easily down my throat and tastes strongly of black sesame. But still not the best I have. I still miss the one which the person hand grounded the black sesame and I could smell it from far.

Dont be cheated by the picture of this dessert! It looks absolutely nice in their menu but it's actually not! The syrup is too artificially sweet and the ice shaved is too coarse and the mango is ripen too much which i dont quite like the taste. The main thing is the ice shaved that is so coarse and i need to chew on every single bite before swallowing it. The syrup is another thing, it is so artificial that i prefer sour one that this.

my girlfriend and I walked passed a dessert story and we decided to grab a bowl of dessert back. I bought their guilin gao also known as herbal jelly. Their herbal jelly was very smooth, it is best eaten after chilled. They packed the honey separately so you can choose to add it or not. In my opinion it is best to add some cos the herbal jelly is slightly on the bitter side and I cannot really take bitter too well so I emptied every drop of the honey.

Mango sago with pomelo seemed to be a very popular dessert at most dessert stalls. They are priced slightly higher than some of the dessert. But whether it is worth the amount you pay really depends on the mango they used in my opinion. The mango they used at dessert story is really fresh. The flesh is sourish sweet. I don’t like my mangoes to be too sweet cos I will get very sick of the dessert after a while. The pomelo however tasted bitter. But when you eat with the mango, it taste really goo

This champaigne ice is not bad.Just i dont like it very muich because it is too sweet for me.I like those small jelly on the top.It is very cute and chewy.It make the ice looks attractive too.To eat this alone,it is too large amount.So share with a friend is a good idea.But this ice really can save me from the hot weather.And it wont melt easly,so can chat with friend when eating it.It is really good choice to eat if wan to chat with friend.

black sesame paste $3.4 with 2 black sesame dumplings add on (plus $0.30 each)I was craving for dessert so i bought and takeaway the dessert from Dessert Story, and black sesame is my all time favourite!! The dumplings are quite expensive eh, 30cents for one ball, so i only added 2 pieces, and the total is $3.40. The dumplings are quite nice, but the paste is a bit greasy so after i ate till less than half of the bowl i started to feel greasy. but i still managed to finish it. will be better if

Still not satisfied after eating the main course, proceed to dessert story to have some desserts. There are cold n hot desserts to be choosen as well as small snacks like yam cake, carrot cake, Siew Mai, Haw gao and etc. After ordered, there are seats and tables provided for customers to dine in. I love the mango snow ice from dessert story! the mango syrup is rich, thick and sweet! mind you have sweet tooth! the mango cubes are quite big too. the snow ice melt instantly when you eat it. it was great if you eat it during a hot day! i would recommend it to my friends and family
