salty tau sa pia

This is the well-known pastry store at Balestier. There is the salty and the sweet tau sa pia but my in laws like the salty ones, so I got the salty ones for them, and some for my children and me as well. I normally get 10 and they will put all 10 of them into a nice square box. The salty tau sa pia is just more fragrant with the saltish taste. The exterior pastry is buttery and flaky and I always liked to warm it slightly in the over before eating it as it makes the exterior pastry even more cr

Do get 10 home because you will find that there is not enough to go around because it is so delicious.

Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah

There are choices of sweet or salty but i got the salty one so they wrote 'ST'! (:There's quite alot of pieces inside and the tau sar piah taste traditional.I like it alot when you eat it on that day itself because it is still fresh and had not oxidize with the air yet. Therefore the texture is still airy when you bite on it and you can also taste the sweetness of the sesame seed!And the tau sar as the filling is nice too because it is not really sweet and taste perfectly good.

Tau Sar Piah

This is a simple food. My first impression of this food is that it will not taste nice. However, my friend forced me to try at least one. After my first try, I continue for seconds and so on.I did not know that this food taste so delicious, that I can eat the whole box(10 pieces) by myself. There are 2 types of this cake. Sweet and salty. Both are delicious, but depends one someone's taste bud some prefer sweet and some prefer salty. I prefer the sweet one.A tip for you guys is that, if you wann

I did not know that this food taste so delicious, that I can eat the whole box(10 pieces) by myself. There are 2 types of this cake. Sweet and salty. Both are delicious, but depends one someone's taste bud some prefer sweet and some prefer salty. I prefer the sweet one.

A tip for you guys is that, if you wanna get this cake, get it early in the morning. the store opens at 6am and they already start selling. So, get the freshly baked ones in the morning and eat it while its still hot. There are other cakes also. However, I recommend this one to you guys.

It was highly recommended by my friend Their tau sar piahs are absolutely fabulous,the pastry is soft, flaky & buttery, there are no gaping hollows between the filling & the pastry, indicating that it’s freshly baked. They’re also very generous with the filling Do note that sometimes will have very long queue & need to wait for around 20minsOverall i rate 8/10

Along the extreme right end of Balestier Road at the junction of Thomson Road, there is this famous Tau Sar Piah stall known as LOONG FATT that known to be “The Original, The Only Outlet Specialist in Sweet & Salty Tau Sar Piah”.Look at the crowd at queuing to get their favourite Tau Sar Piahs. This shop really live for it name on serving their products. No wonder there are so many Press and TV interview on them. They have a open bakery concept at the back of this coffee shop where about 10 stuf

They have a open bakery concept at the back of this coffee shop where about 10 stuffs are rolling, filling up the dough as well as baking to sever the customers their freshly bake products. So let's wait no more. but hope over to join the queue and get a some mixture of their Tau Sar Piah to try as well as send as gift.

They are two flavors available which is either “Sweet or Salty”. The sweet tau sar piah is marked by the sprinkling of sesame seeds on its crust and you might notice that the shape is flatter than the usual ones sell in other stalls. At first when we taste the Tau Sar Piah we are rather confused by the taste as it seems to be the same, both have that bit of salty taste. But when you have another bite on it, you will get the differences of one is much saltier than the other.
