Minced meat noodles

This bowl of minced meat noodles costs $2.50. It is quite special as they had included some sliced canned mushrooms in it. The gravy sauce has ketchup in it and it tasted quite addictive even though this time round, the noodles were slightly overcooked. They also put pig liver in it as the standard serving but I don't eat them unfortunately! Overall, this is worth the try and it's relatively cheap.

The FoodI ordered Kway Teow dry with lots of chilli. The smooth and thin Kway Teow is cooked with the right timing and blends well with the crispy lard and chilli sauce. The braised mushrooms also makes the texture smooth and taste even more delicious. Also, the minced meat, pork liver and sliced pork is soft and tender and most important very fresh! The PriceReasonably priced at $3 with ample ingredientsOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

The Food

Kway Tiao Soup, S$2.50, is my usual order from 58 Minced Meat Noodle Stall. The fine and silky "kway tiao kia" that slurps down my throat together with the tasty soup. What I like best about the dish is its sliced mushrooms as they are always filled with a unique fragrance. My pal cant agree with me more that this is one of the best local food out

I'm back to my favorite stall on a Saturday Morning this time round with a special guest, sharing one of my favorite local food to my foreign pal.

Kway Tiao Soup, S$2.50, is my usual order from 58 Minced Meat Noodle Stall. The fine and silky "kway tiao kia" that slurps down my throat together with the tasty soup. What I like best about the dish is its sliced mushrooms as they are always filled with a unique fragrance. My pal cant agree with me more that this is one of the best local food out of so many she had eaten during her stay here.

Many will like to top up the pork lards given by 58 Minced meat but not for me in this case. For a healthier choice, I have always skipped that and exchanged them for big spoonfuls of spring onions. These, together with the Bah Chor Mee (BCM) had enhanced the dish's taste.

Service is efficient and good enough to cater to the long queues.

Ambience
In a busy Saturday morning, 58 Minced Meat noodle being popular and welled like by the neighborhood, is one of the stalls with long queues and its rather hard to get seats near their stalls.

Price
Reasonably priced and packed with goodies, the portion is generally adequate for a simple meal.

Speaks about Bah Chor Mee in the west, the first that comes to my mind will be 58 Minced Meat Noodle. One of my favourite Bah Chor Mee with its unique taste since 12 years back. Business were real good every evening back then when it was located at the old Taman Jurong Market without fail.

Kway Tiao Soup (small) at $2.50 is no doubt my favourite. This dish may look plain, but I like it - the kway tiao is "kway tiao kia" - small in width kind and when you slurp it, its very smooth. They says only teochew will order Kway Tiao soup. Yeah, I'm one. Okie, the soup has a bit of sweetness, the minced meat together with the liver is tender and chewable mixed with button mushroom slices as well as normal mushrooms. They uses a higher quality mushroom which is different from the usual Minced meat noodle stall. This mushroom has its own kind of fragrance. Customers may ask for more "Bah Poh (pork Lard)" but usually, i always omit it. Instead, I had my free flow of Spring onion. Yeah, its free flow. I like it.

 Most of them go for their dry minced pork noodle with pork lards. I have ordered this bigger bowl at the cost of $3.00 with mee .Fragrance and spiciness together with the minced meat that blends well with noodle, the chilli has its own specialties that make this bowl of noodle perfect.

 Every bowl of dry noodle ordered paired with a bowl of soup.
The soup will taste richer with meat as compared to the kway tiao soup I mentioned.

Fast, suitable for peak hours. Self service though. I like self service as there is a free flow of spring onions (: .

Ambience
A multistorey hawker centre place. Seats are aplenty during the dinner hours as most of the stalls are closed.

Price
$2.50 for a comfy dinner is reasonably priced.

Recommendation / Tips
Although there are many outlets of 58 Minced meat noodle. I will still go to the one in Taman Jurong since they are the one I first started with and I have benchmarked the taste from here (there are 2 outlets in taman jurong) . I have tried other branches, their taste are different.

Dropped by Taman Jurong for lunch today and decided to order from 58 Minced Meat Noodle. I usually have it for dinner but decided to try the lunch version (Different cooks for Day and Night). The cook for the night was assisting with the preparation of the ingredients (Mushroom, button mushroom, pork slices, minced pork, pork liver).The prices are $2.50/$3.00. Unlike usual hawkers who will ask if you'll want the larger portion, the stall holders will not ask and will stick to the standard $2.50

Dropped by Taman Jurong for lunch today and decided to order from 58 Minced Meat Noodle. I usually have it for dinner but decided to try the lunch version (Different cooks for Day and Night). The cook for the night was assisting with the preparation of the ingredients (Mushroom, button mushroom, pork slices, minced pork, pork liver).

The prices are $2.50/$3.00. Unlike usual hawkers who will ask if you'll want the larger portion, the stall holders will not ask and will stick to the standard $2.50 portion. Serving is already huge for the $2.50 version.

They are generous as the spring onions, vinegar and cut chilli (big and chilli padi) are self-service. The dried version was served quite wet with a layer of oil; the right way they should be served! Topped with extra vinegar, the sourish noodles is something minced meat noodles will love.

I forgot to take a picture of the noodles at the start but the empty bowls speak a lot for themselves
