The Pandan Chiffon cake has always been a very popular item in Bengawan Solo, and many of my overseas friends love the pandan chiffon so much that they buy them back to their country in bulk! Whenever I feel like having chiffon cakes for my breakfast, I will definitely buy the pandan chiffon cake from Bengawan Solo. Even though the price is quite high, but I would never mind to pay abit more for it's quality cake. The pandan flavour in it is quite fragrant and the cake texture is quite moist and very soft as well. Great to have it with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.

Really enjoy this savoury item from Bengawan Solo as the glutinuous rice in it is very fragrant and the sambal prawn inside is very tasty and quite spicy and sweet as well. Great to have it during lunch, gatherings, parties or even during special occasions. At merely one dollar and twenty cents each, I think is priced reasonable as well. But do note this item may not be always available in this outlet and do call them for reservation before you go down to buy.

the bengawan solo's fruit cakeCelebrated my friend's birthday with bengawan solo's cake! Bengawan Solo's cakes are not only affordable, the taste is definitely not compromised as a result. This fruit cake has really geneous portion of fruits slices, giving the cake a super duper fruity taste, awesomeness! Each bite is overflowing with goodness of fruit and cream! YUMMY!

Bengawan solo has a variety of kueh that looks and tastes very good and so i bought the Kueh Salat and two Lapis Sagu. My favourite would be the lapis sagu because the kueh itself looks so tempting already with 9 layers of colours. I usually peel off layer by layer and eat it by that way. The kueh salat and lapis sagu are both $0.90 each. I did not manage to try the kueh salat as I gave it to my mother but according to her it was great too.

This is banana cake from bengawan Solo.I like the cake from Bengawan solo. They have varieties of walnut cake, marble cake and etc.. But the cake i bought this time is rather a lower quality. The texture of the bread at the bottom layer is quite hard compare to the upper layer. If you know how to bake cake, you will know what was the cause if it.

Quality banana whole cake can be found at Bengawas Solo. Lots of mashed banana are used to make their signature banana cake which make it so yummy. The cake texture is thick and the butter used taste great! They also provide service to cute the whole cake into few slices according to your request. Can be kept in fridge for 3 days, and is better to thaw at room temperature for at least half an hour before consume. Best for tea break and special occasions. My verdict: 7.5/10

Kueh lapis has always been my favourite kueh since I was young. I love how colourful and yet tasty it is at the same time.The texture is very nice and the kueh is also very tasty. The putri salat is also very nice. It is very rich in flavour.

Had the voucher for my mum's friend baby 1st month for bengawan solo so decided to go and get their all time favourite pandan cake. Totally love their pandan cake as it is so fluffy and theirs had the fragrant pandan smell that other shops do not have. It cost $10 for that cake. Felt that the price was definitely on the high side though. Although i like it a lot but the price of it still holds me back sometimes, so unless i have huge cravings for it i will not get it.

I love all things coconut, which explains my liking for ondeh ondeh. These small ondeh ondeh come in a box of six for $2.40 - $0.40 for each. It is quite expensive seeing as it is so small, but I just love the taste too much to stop myself from buying. The taste of the rich gula melaka bursts in your mouth when u bite into the soft outer skin. The outer skin a slightly chewy which makes the whole experience of eating it just very right.
